IGN's own FB poll has people hating the ME 3 endings at 90%+  last time I checked.

Hold the Line.

This hurts us as much as it hurts Bioware, but we just cannot let such an amazing story, the one set to be this generation's Star Wars, end as it does. It is practically our duty. It would be as though, at the end of Return of the Jedi, Jar Jar Binks showed up and dry humped Emperor Palpatine to death, then gives Luke ice cream to make up for it. Then Lucas tells the fans to stuff it because Jar Jar offered Luke the choice of ice cream flavour.

You can fix this, Bioware. Repair the ending to your beautiful story.

Sure, the numbers might be higher than ME2, but you realize how much more marketing they've put into ME3, right?

ME3's budget is probably around 3-4 times that of ME2.

It certainly has been heavily advertised in the UK. Seen the ad air several times on TV in primetime slots. Even saw the take earth back trailer when i went to watch This Means War at the cinema last week (film sucks btw best bits were in the trailer, paintball scene is the only decent part Posted Image )

The issues with Game and Gamestation could impact this as well? I got let down and got my copy from Origin instead

Guys. Wishing financial ruin on a business is bad. I don't like the endings ether, but wishing the death of what was 99% of the way to a near perfect game is really bad

They are going to make enough to recover costs. I just hope they make 0 profit. They need a message sent to them in some form.

Obviously, they care nothing about their fanbase anymore.

Kind of meaningless unless we know what the typical drop off in sales of a blockbuster game is.

-25 to -45 % depending on the game?  Similar to movies, so you can have many do the typical 40-60% even.

More than that I'd say something is going on with word of mouth...

My guess anyways...

Land-mass is irrelevant, it's population that counts.

But I don't believe this means much. It received shed-loads of pre-order so most people would've purchased it first week.

Why doesn't this happen to a company that deserves it, like Apple?

ME2 in Europe had a 61% decrease on the second week, not the 75% in the US. Let's compare apples to apples.

Mass Effect 1 had a 43% drop.

In the US interestingly enough ME1 only had around a 23% drop and ME2 had a 75% drop.

If you use PS3 data ME2 had around a 43% drop.

Well, that seems like a huge drop, but still few things to compare. Would like to see numbers for, say, MW2, Fallout 3, Timeshift, Postal 3, and From Dust (just the first ones I remembered).

This. I've paid around 70 euro's (so, that's around 91 dollars) for a Digital Deluxe Edition and I'm getting this ending - then to be tricked into buying a DLC with the true ending? That's just money grubbing deluxe. I've bought all BioWare games since KoTOR, but I'm getting fed up with this money making scheme - especially since there seems to be hints towards the ending being set up deliberately as giving no closure (In contradiction with statements pre-release about closure) so they can catch another 13 dollars. If that's the case, my next BioWare DLC won't be downloaded via Origin...:wizard:

If anything, this will just be a sign for them to not take any risks with their storytelling and begin to churn out an endless stream of Call of Duty-like tripe.

well kotaku.com says they offers mass effect 3 at 39.90 on the xbox360.
2 weeks from the game relaese and we arleady see a price drop?. Hell.. i wish i coul´d waited a few days to get my copy. surely mass effect 3 doesnt worth 79.90. Or even better, waited a few years to play the series. I still love Liara and her voice. :).

Companies that lie, or release products that alienate their fans intentionally don't deserve to survive lol.
Lets be honest Bioware isnt the company it used to be, back in the days of baldurs gate and mdk.
Looking back,Some of the sales pitches from pre me3 release remind me of the miracle cure conmen from the westerns lol

They should have put at least some of the effort they put into advertising into the ending, then they wouldn't have this problem.

In Word-to-mouth terms the game is pretty dead, just google reviews and everyone will complain about the ending. It is not that people are complaining about bugs or quests, it's that single issue that overshadows it all.

Don't feel much sympathy for Bioware/EA, anyway and can't understand some people who feel sorry for them now. When you deliver bad work in your RL, what happens then?

Lol, ME3 is in the middle of the fire now. I saw an article in USA Today.
In a bloody magazine.

It made the front page of MSNBC, and was featured on FOX News and CNN, all simply pointing to the fact that there is a movement to change the ending.  The message is very much getting out there.

Doesn't really make me happy if the game is doing poorly. It's a great game and a great series - just such a shame about the ending. I don't have any bad wishes for Bioware. I only hope they will listen to the community and do something about the ending - and then go on to deliver plenty more brilliant games.

Bumping this. Bioware/EA even if you don't care about the implications of leaving a fanbase with a terrible ending you must be able to appreciate the fact that it is severely hurting your bottom line. There is cause to fix the ending.
