HOW TO UNLOCK SHAPESHIFT SPECIALIZATION , IT'S NOT BUGGED * SPOILERS *[/b]


so after many many attempts, it seems that if you complete the entire conversations, or get Morrigan past neutral approval, she no longer answers the question in the correct routine to unlock shapeshifter. I myself still have yet to decide if that is what I want to specialize in since it lacks abilities, but still, it's fun, and I know many are having issues getting the right combo.

I'm not sure what approvals need to be, but if she's neutral I think this will work 100%. Follow the text EXACTLY. If anyone else has any suggestions please update this thread. Thanks!

Started with 13 approval for Morrigan

Initiate chat with her

"I'ld like to ask you something"

"How do you become a shapeshifter"

"Your mother has been doing it for a long time"

"Can anyone be"

"That's all I wanted to ask"

"Sounds quite useful"

Then she's approval of 17, reinitiate chat

"I'ld like to ask you something"

"Can you teach others"

"Yes I am considering"

Then she says 'oh ok, I'll teach once we're in camp.
But I believe that statement is directed towards other mages in the group, for you, it is unlocked, just be sure to put the point into it when you level next. Not sure what happens if you don't next ding, or if you wait past that.....

I just please ask whoever is doing this, reply to this post with updates to strategies for Shapeshifting, I'ld like to hear more about it!!!!!!!!

I've heard the rumor that points in magic don't make a diff on how strong it is? But that person could be an r-******

But it seems people get her approval up to 'interested' and I think once it's there, it's cut off...
Or they've just made this a b#tch to unlock, and you HAVE TO follow the chat progression to the T.

A lot of people is saying that shapeshifting is crap... Perhaps Morrigan already know that and only teach it to you if she don't care about you...



If she likes/cares/loves the warden, she wouldn't teach a useless ability... LOL

Morrigan only teaches this ability with low or negative approval rating. I think it's a game design bug, as they assume you'd talk to her right away and they wanted a PC to be able to unlock a specialization early to get a sense for how it works. It doesn't really make sense that she'd stop teaching it if she likes you, but the game is triggered so that once she moves into Warm she won't offer it as a dialogue option.
