 Hi,

I just watched pach attack on gametrailers.com stating that Mass Effect 3 for PC can only be installed 3 times. Afterwards you have to buy a new copy or get lucky and have the support give you more installs.

Isn't that just the case with Mass Effect 1? Didn't Bioware even say ME3 requires a onetime-activation with origin and doesn't have an installlimit?

Id be somehow pissed if they just changed that =(

Edit: Here is the link to my source ->

Bioware stating that ME3 has no limited installs ->

GTTV seems to be misinformed.

There is no install limit on Mass Effect 3 EXCEPT you can only install 5 times from unique machines in 24 hours.

I'm not sure where the 3 activation thing coes from, but it is not right.

Thank you so much for answering =) I am happy now !

GTTV didn't state a number btw they only said ME3 has an installlimit. They compare it to spores installimit for example.
This is causing quite some confusion on GT (as seen in the comments).

Maybe you should contact GT and bring some light into this case.

Yeah, they got confused. ME1 has an installation limit per unique machine but that's five instead of three.

The "in 24 hours" means that it resets the install count every day? Or am I reading that wrong? If it's 5 in one day and then resets to 0, that's not a bad limit. You shouldn't need to install that many times unless you're having install problems which contacting support would need to be done with that many fails.

That's correct, you can install the game on 5 unique PCs in a 24 hour period, and then it resets and you can install on 5 more in the next 24 hours.
