I love this game but i am getting rather sick of the same sword and armour models being used all bioware is doing is changing the color and texture and BAM this is the dragonbone armour forged from a high dragon....and it looks just like regular massive plate armour.....realy realy......at least minor changes please.. and its not just massive armour but all. plus swords the keening blade model is getting out of hand it looks alright for the keening blade but to have 3 identical swords ...woulndt that mean they were made from the same mold....so the kings sword and the kenning blade was made by the blacksmith in WK since that blacksmith made starfang in front of you. a new design would be a welcome relief

Hm yes a little more variaty in armor looks would have been nice. I am glad I had the downloadble content which had two awesome plate armor sets. I played a rogue tho. Wish there had been more cool looking leather armor. The dalish female armor was the most different leather armor I think with the bare belley. The last armor I used however looked the same as the first one I used only it was now purple instead of orange. That felt a bit silly.

Ps. they could have seriously kept away the wings on the grey wardens helmet ...probably would have looked much cooler that way.

light armor is terrible, you get pretty much two designs, and they recolor it several times.

the heavier armor gives you a little more variety, but the really good armor all looks the same.

i mean sure you get splintmail, chainmail, etc, but you usually end up selling that in favor of the better gear, wich has about three or four designs, and then recolors it alot.

The light armor variants (or to be more exact "non-variants") were an extreme let down for me really. I love playing rogue based characters and Duncan's armor was just so awesome....then going through the game only to be stuck with the same two model meshes that just changed colors as the material got better was just....deflationary at best.

Medium Armors are not much better off in that regard.

Heavy armors have some more variants but largely its only 5 model types, then texture color to denote material in use...blah. Why is all "Dragon Bone" armor red? Thats...I just don't get it. Dragon bones aren't red. All descriptive material available indicates dragon bone armaments to be pale ivory in hue.

Then you get the massive sets which only have three model variants, actually only two, since the Dragon Age DLC armor is simply retextured Dwarven Plate.

But largely the light armor variants were the biggest let down in the game, to have a characters armor look the same from the start of the game, to the end of the game, other than color, is just, asinine and doesn't give the player a sense of any accomplishment at all.

yes those were terrible. i mean, thats cool for starting gear, but you figure the better items would look a little more epic to you know, distinguish them from the others. but nope, its the same early 1900's looking leather football helmets and weird mage hats that look more silly than useful.

Not only lack the light armor helmets any variety, but they are also glitched. Just add a leather cap to either Zevran or Leliana and take a closer look at the back of their head --> you can see into the head.

How could one possibly miss this in a beta test...oh...I see. No beta test...

i didnt have that problem, the whole seeing through the heads thing.

but i played the console version, wich most people here dont.

i did notice how alot of the pc bugs/glitches we dont have to worry about

but then again, we dont get a toolset >.< soooo... its no where near evened out lol

but yes bioware, variety please.

i hates my rogue, because i was halfway through the game, and thought "wow im awesome i killed a dragon, and i look exactly like i did when i got to ostagar...i just got a little dye added to my armor...."

Heh, why ?
It will be a nice money making for Bioware to make new armors and weapons or new hairstyle or face.
They should consider it

Seriously, what's the problem to ask when you don't know how to make ? Don't answer "learn then" otherwise they wil have never been sellers in the worlds cause everyone can use their hands to craft.

im going to assume your...european? just what i could tell by the grammer set up
no offense meant by that at all

anyways, i definitely agree that it would actually be better for bioware to do these things, because it gives the things they are selling (dlcs etc) more value in the players eyes, wich will make it an easier deciscion for people who are considering buying it or not. cuase when you look at it as "hmm i can get more of exactly what i have" or "hmm i can get new things, that look different and add variety to what i have in the game" then there would definitely be less people complaining about what all we are getting with dlcs, wich seems to be a popular opinion with some people

i think there is one light helmet that i found and like, because it wasnt a cone head looking thing.

i made morrigan wear it even though there were probably better ones available. they just all looked silly

and wynne didnt wear a helm. cause all that was left was weird cone head helms. and i found them annoying lol

You mean Duty? I thought the wings looked quite nice, made it different then your default templar or classic medivel helm style.

Massive armor has the juggernaut model, and.... I guess the dwarven armor too.

You'd hope with DLC you'd get some new looks, but as is evident with the Return to Ostagar DLC, it's still the same models painted in a different color :(

There should have been an useable "Adamantium Sword" and an useable "Adamantium Axe" availible in Dragon Age: Origins actually for the "warrior" class to use in game.
