You guys are such easy targets that even IGN can rip you a new one.
Really, stop and look in a mirror and ask yourself if this is how someone respectable would act. There is no one in the world that I would hold in any kind of regard that would even consider being a part of this ridiculous campaign. Though, that's probably because I don't have much respect for people in their late teens/early 20's. I have a hard time believing that people over 25 would be on board with this, even if they didn't like the ending.
You could use some perspective. Maybe a different plan of attack. Nobody needs your respect. Your disrespect is the nerf dart of insults. Spitwadding would have been a more effective assault.
Angry Joe and quite a few reviewers seemed a hell of a lot older than 25. As long as people do it in a civil way (i.e. not the idiots flaming on twitter with f* this and f* that' at everybody from bioware's personal accounts) and give a reasonable and detailed list of grievances, why not. Personally i don't give a monkey's whether you respect me, regardless of my age or even my personal opinion on the campaign random person on the internet. At the end of the day the endings were sufficiently out of keeping for enough people to be annoyed and for the most part have aired that concern in respectable and responsible ways, running a 'collaborative' dialog with bioware.

Let me know if you guys know anymore, because I need more podcasts to listen to to get me through the day-day. %90 of the podcasts I listened to had their hands somewhere in IGN or their employees.

The best part of all this, for me, is it has highlighted journalists worth watching/reading and those not. I don't mean on their bias (pro or anti ending) but on the research he/she does before speaking/writing.
For example Jimquisition is so amazingly ill and uninformed about the primary reasons for disliking the ending its hilarious. He at least has the grace to say he doesn't give a *&#^ but people expect him to comment.
IGN has proven again its lack of journalistic standards and qualifications.

And before anyone says "what do you expect, it's IGN" - fair enough, they've written a bunch of lazy and/or pointless articles before, but show me a news site in any sector that hasn't. I'm just staggered that they'd go on such an ill-advised offensive when just 5 minutes of research would should how badly they'd missed the mark.
EDIT: It's also very difficult to sympathise with arguments on a point of principle - i.e. that fans should let developers tell their own story - when the arguments are entirely strawmen or ad homines.

IGN is owned by Newscorp. Newscorp and EA are strategic partners. So, no surprise there.

It really does seem like pandering on their end. Insulting the people that visit your site is ludacris, (We are a game playing/buying demographic.) especially charity work of any kind (which is always a good thing, and this is a viable reason.)

You are missing my point. It doesn't matter what I think of you. I was suggesting that you employ the "What Would ____ Do?" self-examination technique. Think of someone who you greatly respect and ask yourself honestly whether they would be a party to this.greywardencommander wrote...

If you're still under the impression that your side has its dignitiy intact, yet you have to really look hard to find participants that are reflecting that ideal, then maybe you should re-examine things. If there's an idiot to your left and an idiot to your right, then you're standing with idiots.
I don't have a problem with people who reject the ending. My problem is with how infantile, entitled, indignant, immature, naive, rude, pathetic, unreasonable, and a whole host of other negative adjectives can be easily applied to this campaign.
"Retake Mass Effect" -- as if you owned Mass Effect to begin with. Call it what it is: "Take Mass Effect". Doesn't sound as noble, does it? More honest, though.
And getting Child's Play involved is as unoriginal and transparent as it gets. As if that will grant you moral high ground. Ever heard of Carbon Offset strategies? This is like Jerkface Offset or something.
But the analogy I'm most reminded of is the neighborhood children who are trying to catch a dog by chasing after it as fast as they can run. The dog is just going to run away farther and faster. All this campaign is doing is backing Bioware into a corner. Ironically, this crusade will preclude Bioware from even considering changing the ending, rather than compel them to do it.
