I think I shot the Starchild for like ten minutes and got the Synthesis ending the first time because I had no idea what the hell had just happened and walked towards the beam since it seemed like the natural thing to do.

I picked the red ending and after seeing the last scene with the old guy I restarted the game and picked a different color and got almost the same ending

Honestly?

I get into a game, no matter how bad it is. So if it is really bad, I don't think about it till it's over. I sat there, made my choice, and thought about my journey throughout Mass Effect. I enjoyed it.

Then, a few hours afterward, I thought, "Wow, what a blatant Deus Ex rip-off..."

From then till now has been increasingly negative thought about the ending. Seriously, the more you think about it, the worse it gets.

Well when the kid was telling me my options for the blue one I was like oh crap is tim really right? for red I'm like I'll screw over the Quarians with that for sure, and with hybrid I was like what? I don't get it? How can everyone become like me then I thought that everyone would be made into husks and this was the reaper win options so I decided to go with the ending that had the least damage potential and I controlled them.

"Did I miss something?" was my reaction when presented with the choices. I tired, for 15 minutes, to understand them clearly before ultimately deciding to do Destroy. It didn't matter anyways. Shepard just commits mass murder no matter what color you choose.

The real lulz ensued after repeating everything from the last save point to try a different option and seeing (oh, how exciting) a different colour. What a huge decision that must have been! To think, they could have chosen purple instead of green!

First thought was "NO ******************************** WAY". Then abruptly turned around and tried to go back down. After that didn't work, I unloaded clips upon clips into anything and everything(mostly into Starchild). Eventually after trying to off myself through jumping off ledges or shooting the window, I gave in to finally picking "Destroy". Thinking it was the Paragon route, I proceeded to the "Control the Reapers" option. Expletives soon followed enmasse.

All I can say is, thank god for alchohol.

I didn't read any spoilers prior to playing, when I heard that the ending was "terrible" I assumed it was BSN blowing it out proportion, then came the moment prior to Star Child with Anderson and Shep, looking out at the on going war, reminiscent about times gone past, I was hoping then that because I had a really high EMS, the Crucible would safely dock with the Citadel and it would release it would release an EMP (electro magnetic pulse) of sorts that would destroy the Reapers in the Sol System, then it would load up, shoot towards the Relays and "ping" around each Star System, wiping out the Reapers in the process.

But no, my EMS metre didn't matter so I was stuck with the "Fook all life in the Galaxy ending(s), just destroy everything and wipe out the majority of life in each system", look what the Alpha Relay did, now imagine every Relay in the Milky Way simultaneously blowing up? That's thousands and thousands species, space- faring and non space-faring, dead. Not too mention the billions and billions of fatalites within the Citadel Space, Terminus Systems, Perseus Veil etc etc.

I was gutted.
