I started to go into panic mode.  When I realized that all my choices were stripped away and not even my bastion of paragon-ness counted for anything.  The whole time the kid talked I was waiting for that interrupt to appear.  When that happened, I thought, "Surely, Shepard has some words for this kid."

Personally, I realized that the ending was as bad as the headlines implied. I then turned around and tried to shoot star kid in the face.

That's what I did too.  Next thing I did was wander over to the edge of the Citadel hoping I could jump off.  Nope.

This, all the while i was tearing up....

"Oh damn...they weren't kidding. It is that bad."

Stares at AI/Godkid for a minute and then heads over to red.

"My Shep would do none of these! Genocide (including of an allied race), Slavery or forcing a decision on all beings"

Paragon Shep at least I don't see choosing any of those possibilities.

Growing unease as Star Child spelled out the terms of the choices, then disbelief when I realized there wasn't a 4th option and that I would really be forced to agee with his backwards logic. Sickening horror as Shepard fell into the Saren Solution -- aka, Green/Sythensis, numbness through the Star Gazer scene, and then white hot rage when I saw the DLC advertisement.

What's funny is that I only picked Green because it seemed like the only way to preserve the galactic political and economic order as well as preserve the Geth/EDI, who were my loyal friends and allies (despite my personal preference to destroy the Reapers), but the Mass Relays blew up anyway -- I can't believe I was forced to agree with Saren, blow up the Geth/EDI, or take control of the Reapers/Agree with the Illusive Man, all because Organics and Synthetics couldn't get along, apparently. And blow up the Mass Relays to boot. I suppose when the Star Child said the Mass Relays blew up with the Reapers, he really meant they blew up in all endings.

After five years and hundreds of dollars ...

I was utterly deflated as I chose the Red ending. I literally felt empty inside. It took me a while to even register the stupid Normandy crash scene or how illogical it was.

What the f..k was that...???!!!

My gut reaction was to take destroy. The whole game was about assembling the crucible, having it do some space magic or having a god child do some space magic is little different. I was more WTF when I saw my squad mates get off the Normandy.

I thought that the other choices were the 'right' ones but I was so pissed off at the whole damn thing my long time paragon chose Destroy simply because it was the only way I could end the ghost kid's existence.

Trying the other two only increased my rage.

This essentially.

If it makes you feel better after trying to kill the child, than suicide, i accepted my fate choose red and than proceeded to watch Garrus, Liara (LI) Joker and EDI walk of the ship.

The ending wasnt bad enough, but i also watched as the cutscene flat out ignored what i had just resigned myself to........

Utter and total confusion. I had to think about it for a while and let it sink to realize just how stupid and nonsensical and lazy it was.

I felt...tired. And empty.

The whole sequence was such a huge downer already, but to see it all topped off with these "choices", some arbitrary God Child showing you the bird and Shepard just taking it....that was too much.

I reloaded and watched the other endings, realized they were all essentially the same and quit the game. Haven't touched it since

Nothing really sank in. I finished the game, didn't like the end. So then I was excited to see what the other ends were like. I reloaded the auto save and tried another choice. Saw it was pretty much the same as the other end apart from the colour. Confused, I tried the other choice.. Saw that was pretty much the same too.

Then I felt depressed that this is how they'd end it, so cheaply.

Actually, when I finished the game, it was 3 a.m. and I was quite tired. I didn't even realize I had a choice and just ran straightforward into the blue beam. Then I googled and re-did the mission. And after that I was quite surprised that the friggin' mass relays exploded - the guy only told me that they would explode when I chose to control the reapers. Nevertheless, it could be worse (Divinity 2: Ego Draconis anyone?). If you compare it to the ending to the Baldur's Gate Saga, it is disappointing, though.

I was confused because the Starchild's monologue made zero sense. The only option for me = destroy. Always. I don't trust that kid.

My first reaction was stunned silence / shock. Then my rational side took over and I figured I must have done something horribly wrong and gotten the "worst" ending ... as it turns out my first attempt was the so-called "perfect" ending. Hah :)

I thought there has to be more. I walked (limped) around the room, tried to shoot the kid and finally just thought I didn't do a good enough job and would try for the next time. When I learned I got the best ending I had a blue screen of death moment.

My reaction is some thing is wrong that can't be it.

Hold the line and it won't be.

It was like spending months carving a marble statue, carefully getting every facet perfect and getting the perfect benevolent tone of authority set on the face.
Then during the final polishing of the left ear the guy who supplied the marble pours 20 gallons of battery acid over it and turns to me with a smile on his face and says: "Now that's art, buy more marble!"
