I picked an ending.
Gut reactions when presented with the R/G/B choice?

the synthesis was presented as the "ultimate" ending. It felt like, by the way the Starchild introduced it, that it was opened because I completed enough of the game (got enough war assets, got enough allies, that sort of thing). But it felt like a stupid choice. I was leaning toward paragon this whole playthrough, all the way back to ME1. I was walking down the ramp to the synth beam, and I then decided, "Nah, this is wrong." So I limped back and was heading to the blue choice. The Crucible was destroyed before I got there. But needless to say, I was a bit disappointed when I saw that both the Green and Blue endings were the same thing. Only that with green, everyone has traces of robotics in their skin. Not a very nice thought, I just turned everyone into part husk.

I had no idea how to react, I was tired, it was late, and then they sprang this on me. I was confused as to why the red option had anderson in it, and TIM in the blue.. and green was like WTF. And then I realised, this would be how shepard would feel.. thousands of people dying below him, I didn't have time to stand around and let more die. I destroyed the reapers, like I set out to from the beginning. I had to think legion and EDI would understand, 1 race destroyed for the survival of many.
But the ending still left me with a hole in my heart. I dont care if Shep had died, but their was no.. impact. No feeling. The music was amazing though, just a lack of feeling with what I was seeing.

It was 2am and I was super tired but stupid game wouldn't let me SAVE so I could finish in morning. Scene with Anderson had made me all weepy then the elevator up to Godchild had me tilting my head at the screen like a dog that heard a strange noise.
After that, I swear I felt like my brain went on pause. I couldn't grasp what this kid was telling me. My options are suck, suck, and suck? Really? Then I had to choose and I couldn't even remember what he had told me and there was no way to have him repeat it so I picked one, assuming there was more to come after it. The "final" battle. So I picked the middle option (because anything TIM supports must be BAD but the other option is RED and SWEET BABY CHALUPA BIOWARE INDOCTRINATED ME!!!) and watched in stunned silence through the "ending".
I immediately started hitting the internet because I MUST have messed up somewhere. No way in God's green earth should Kaidan have been getting off the Normandy because he would NEVER leave me if there was even a chance I was alive or go on living if I died AGAIN.
After realizing that really was the end and the others were just as bad, it was 3am and I stormed off to bed grumbling under my breath and raging and proceeded to NOT sleep because I was so mad!

Picked the synthesis ending, as the best chance of ending the cycle forever. (Did anyone really think that the Reapers could be ended without destroying the relays?)
Then went online and started hearing about the indoctrination theories...

I shot the kid, them I tried to go back the way I came, them I realize that all that was pointless so I chose the destroy ending to make sure i killed the kid. Sorry Geths and Edi, but I could not let that kid alive

Despair.
I'd heard the endings were bad but simply couldn't conceive how that could be. When I got to the choices I understood, and I knew I would walk away dissatisfied.

Heard about fans saying they hated the ending. I thought : "Here it goes again. Some people can't just be satisfied with Bioware's excellent writting. Stupid people. Just bear with it".
Got to the end.
"Huh? What? That's it?" ==> Got depressed.
Tried another ending. "Really? You're joking, right?".
Looked on the forums. I got angry. Discovered all the plotholes. "You can't do this Bioware! You only had to use the narrative structure of Mass Effect 2! That would have been AWESOME!".
Discovered the Indoctrination theory. It fixes EVERYTHING. Makes sense of all of it. Even the indoctrinated Shepard's eyes in the Control and Synthesis ending.
"Oh Bioware, answer my prayer. Let it be a dream. Just a big dream. I would trade my soul for an DLC ending. Just give it to me and tell us that it was all planned since the start!

I was really just satisfied the relays would be destroyed no matter what, but on my first Shep I chose synthesis just because I saw it as the best solution, and there seemed to be a theme going with organic/synthetic unions going well, like the Quarians/Geth and Joker/EDI. I didn't think the Geth or EDI deserved to die, and I didn't trust the control option. My Shepard just wanted it all, the cycles and everything, to be over, and for things to change substantially. It wasn't an easy choice though.

I was hoping for an option to shoot the God Child, and watch my fleet of awesome destroy the reapers.
Instead, Joker takes off with my LI and repopulates an entire planet with her, and leaves me for dead.
...What a jerk.

My gut reaction was to blow that **** up. Shepard spent 3 full games with that goal in focus. Some kid (or someone taking that form or whatever) is not going to convince him otherwise.
So I tuned out the nonsense the kid was jammering on about and shot that place up. It wasn't until I got that hilarious pop up telling me to 'buy some more' that I was asking myself what the hell just happened. The whole 'buy more dlc' stuff has elevated Bioware to Capcom's level of awareness of their community
Up until the ending, I had every intention of buying more of Shepard's story - why on earth would they feel the need to prompt me to do so. It just isn't classy.

I felt betrayed. More like betraying my femshep. None of the options were something she'd choose. A character I've built up for 5 years now has to choose something that makes no sense.

at first I thought the only one that didn't destroy relays was the "destroy" option. I didn't like destroying geth but I thought galactic civilization was more important than them.
Then I found out they blew up no matter what, and immediately put ME3 and pondered finishing it a second time (which would have been a nobrainer for ME1 and ME2)

I thought there would be more to it, I went with red since all other options were stupid. Turns out that was just as dumb as the others.

My immediate thoughts were,
"I can't wait to see the sixteen endings!"
followed quickly by
"Well Destroy is the obvious right answer. pffff"

Turns out Charmander for life.
