I was stunned that Bioware pulled something dumb like that. They should have known the target audience better. After all the anticipation and the terrible ending my gut reaction was physical. Nausea, heart burn, and that empty feeling when you realize that someone betrayed you (I use betrayed a lot since it is what happened and how I felt) and scammed you. I know I am not the only one who felt this way.

Realized that Shepards indoctrination made him see the "good"/destroy end as renegade and vice versa, thought the synthesis was stupid, since I had just proven organic/synthetic coexcistence to be possible and then shot the kid in the face and FINALLY after three games blew the reapers to hell

Only had the red and blue ending since I did not play MP and skipped the elcor homeworld plus some scan targets.

I didnt even realize they had colors, I lost track of what the godling was saying, thought he said the control ending would destroy the relays, so ended up picking destroy even at the cost of the Geth and EDI since otherwise many more people would dy.

To my surprise it blew up anyway -.-

I walked away from the computer for a good 5-10 minutes. Went back to try to review my options and then realized that once you start walking towards one of the options you can no longer turn around. I was stuck spinning around in circles shooting my gun and swearing a lot and then shot the red ending piece of crap. Got even more confused. Alt+tabbed out while the credits rolled, which I've NEVER done in 25 years of gaming, and found a 1400 page thread about how people hated the ending.

I said "I choose middle." Watched said hmmm okay.I said "I'll reload a save and pick differently." Then I saw that it had an autosave at the start of the walk of shame. I said "Ohhhh not good." Did the walk again picked right side. I said "What the @#$%. That's the same pretty much." Jumped on youtube checked left side ending and came here. I've tried to play on and off and get frustrated and come back here. Tried ME1 to try and get more EMS with kill wrex and council choices.Because God forbid I get the breathing clip with my red ending. Nooo I can't even be bothered to play 1 again.To much of a journey for a 20 second clip. That by the way you still can't get.Even playing in a way that isn't your Shepard at all. Back here again. LOL I can game again now but ME just irks me to much to bother at the moment.

heh my experinace was worse because before ai made a choice, i took awhile to think about it, stalled out went watched tv, came back picked the destory end and was like... um.... then the epoiloge saying "please buy DLC grandpa" reloaded picked a different ending and was very disapointed...

Honestly I think they where going for "The Heros Story" and did a good job until the end....

Because in a Heros tale, while the Hero may die, the world is better off than it was because of his death and his deeds. In this case... more bitter and his choices really left the galaxy in a worest state....

Pretty much that. I sat there stunned when the game ended. I literally clapped at the ends of ME1 and ME2, expecting a similar rare reaction from myself at the end of ME3 and all I heard was Faunts while I stared blankly.

I think I missed the good one..." but the kid didnt want to Then I moped for a while about not wanting to kill EDI and the geth. Then I staggered over to green thinking it would give me the "everybody lives peacefully together" outcome. Then I reloaded and tried blue thinking I could just tell the reapers to leave and everyone can live happily ever after. Then I was like "huh. This is.. the same." Then I gave up and I've been living on the forums ever since. When/if they fix the face import I'll replay and go with destroy and hope its true that the kid was lying about EDI and the geth, considering he was lying about Shepard dying... Then continue waiting and hoping the indoctrination theory is true! It's the only thing that's keeping me from turning into a pile of mopetasticness. x.x

It didn't hit me until about halfway though the credits. I think I was in shock.

I was looking for an option to refuse to go along with the kids options. Didn't happen. After about 5 seconds of consideration i chose destroy and cradled my head in my hands as the reality that this was the ending crashed over me.

Then, I got so angry that I could kill the people responsible for that if they were near me.

Then I got calm. I finally understood what they were trying to say: no matter what you do, you life will be miserable. The universe sucks. Live with it.

I just wanted to exit the game, I didn't even want to bother picking one and sitting through it. I had to alt-tab for a bit and come back to it before I could even bother sitting through one, and wasn't much impressed after.

Besides, I played that ending 12 years ago.
