A logical analysis of why the Indoctrination Theory doesn't work.

Besides, the Starchild said that Shepard would be destroyed as well as the reapers. If that's not him dieing I don't know.
But I suppose you mean that he magically survived. Then also survived an explosion on top of falling through earths atmosphere. If this is the case, then please explain why he died in the beginning of ME2.
Also, please explain the grass that magically appears after he is hit by the beam. You don't just accidentally add grass out of nowhere, no mater how bad you messed up the writing.

Also, Shepard has unlimited ammo and bioware purposely gave us three dreams, which were never seen before in the series. I think people are failing to see the game as a whole. Yes, the ending could be clearer and simpler, but give it to Bioware for they were trying to do something unique and not give us the typical Hollywood ending.

If the theory is correct, does that not mean that if you wake up as indoctrinated (not having chosen destruction) and must be either taken down or captured (if there is any hope of reversing the indoctrination?). I guess Shepards unique resistance can be attributed to him or her having the cypher in his or her head. The mind of Shepard is pretty uniquely configured and might be impossible to fully indoctrinate.
I account for that in my idea that your final decision regarding colour matters in the ending dlc, you select destroy you're not the other two you are indoctrinated...with implications

There's one thing I can't stand about the indoctrination theory, and that is if all of that is a dream while you are being indoctrinated and there's nothing else after that point in the game; it means the "epic" ending to the trilogy is Shepard sleeping in some dirt. I hate the hobbit for the same reason, and wouldn't pay for a game (especially 85$) where my character just takes a nap at the end during the final battle and then its over.
that's not what it says at all it says he's to wake up and continue in the real ending DLC (this can work using all current colours, see below)
To all the haters at least we make an attempt to even give an idea for the new ending, everyone flaming IDT just says - bad writing, broken game - give me an ending without any actual reasons why making the DLC based on 'we've won the indoctrination battle or we've lost depending on our final choice, let's carry on the game' isn't a good idea to 'fix the endings without actually changing anything about the current ones (which would take longer and a lot harder to do without looking awful)
It doesn't matter at this stage whether intended or not IDT remains the easiest way to fix the endings with DLC which DOESN'T have to change a thing about the current endings (which would take longer, make the current game look awful if it's edited)
IDT DOES NOT say that the endings are the endings and it's indoctrination end of story it says THE endings are still to come because you are still knocked out by the beam
I have a way that the IDT works as DLC regardless of choice in the end (i.e how it can work if you're indoctrinated) also throw in some cool stuff about how decisions matter (such as the Geth vs Quarians and your colour choice), some cool cutscenes with your crew and the fleet you've assembled.
In my way you can even have control and synthesis if you genuinely think it's best.
I also think a 'DA:O coronation & epilogue' style (note coronation style in going up to people and them saying 'hey we did it blah blah blah i'm off back to the Citadel for some drinks etc', and the epilogue not just walls of text like in DA:O but in cutscenes, maybe even with voice over by Neil Ross the codex guy) at the end where you get told what happens with the major things in the game e.g. the Quarians, the Krogan, your living crew members and important people such as Anderson etc.

Read the statement by Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare found here: http://blog.bioware....012/03/21/4108/
They clearly had no intention of releasing some secret post ending DLC
that would complete the story, so I think I can safely
say: Indoctrination Theory debunked. Bad writing. The end.
Nothing about that post says that the indoctrination theory is wrong, nor does it suggest that they never planned Real Ending DLC from the beginning.
The theory is still alive. The evidence is there.
