Sure, after a few months you might get a new ending. But the original ending, the most dramatic moment, has already passed. The best you can hope for is, months later, to replay the game and pretend that the previous ending didn't happen. The ultimate moment in any RPG, that first playthrough where your emotions are running high and you're gripped by what will happen next, is gone.

I didn't like the ending, not at all. I've explained why it is objectively bad. But the internet phrase "can't unsee" is perfectly accurate here. Once you see a person's face, no amount of makeup or plastic surgery will ever make you forget how that person actually looks. This ending is the ending. All you can achieve is a high priced DLC alternative ending that has probably already been leaked to the media. Would that actually satisfy you?

Yes.

You can still have the current endings *and* add an epilogue, or a "Shepard woke up" thing.

Depends what they do.

If they use Indoctrination theory, "can't unsee" doesn't apply.

If they add an epilogue/explain the plot holes, "can't unsee" doesn't apply.

If they actually just retcon the ending, it does apply but I for one would still greatly prefer it. It would also reinstate franchise replayability.

Any solution they take will prove they listen to fans.

No - the damage is already done, and I have other problems with the game besides its ending. No amount of ending appeasement will change that.

Absolutely. What kind of question is that? "Your car got totaled, huh? Would a new car really make you happy?" Hmm...well, I still need to commute to work, and get to the grocery store, but you're right. I don't need to go anywhere.

I want an ending that would make my 100 hours of game time seem worthwhile. I didn't watch Lost. You know why? Because the whole point of the show was to not answer any questions, ever. That's not the kind of thing that belongs in a game. You want to make an artsy, angst-ridden finale for something on broadcast television, that's fine. That's free for the consumer. But don;t take my money, give me something other than what I paid for, and call it "art".

It would make me feel better, but I'll never forget the teenage-like angst I felt for this period of time.

Ending(s) that would take into account all the different choices, both major and minor, you've made along the series would probably satisfy everyone.

That way, the way the story ends is forged by the players themselves.
