Yes. It will allow me to finally be able to replay the game, and it shows that BioWare values my opinion, both as a fan and as a consumer, which will make me much more receptive to future purchases with them.

Yes, but it will never be the same as if Bioware had done it well the first time. I need a new ending to save the franchise for me, honestly.

If it's an ending that lives up to the rest of the game (note: this doesn't mean it has to be the most epic thing ever, merely on par with the rest of the content) then yes, it will make me feel better.

I'm quite capable of ignoring previous happenstances in favor of more favorable ones.

Such as: Tali's face.

I'll be honest - its going to be difficult. That magic is gone and the ending will always be tainted to an extent, but a new ending can only be a plus compared to what we have now.

It'd also get me excited about playing the game again, if a new ending is added then I'll replay ME1, 2,and 3 again like I did before ME3 came out.

Of course, if the ending is bad again then I may just off myself....

Yeah. As it stands, I have no desire to replay the games at all, and replaying is a big part of the fun--trying to get a new outcome, or seeing scenes/interactions/missions you missed the first time.

As long as any new ending (or extension of the current) does away with the contradictions (and plot holes), yes.

Take that as a very big conditional.

I've actually browsed through some hypnosis books at the public library and will happily make anyone forget the original ending free of charge. :D

once Bioware gives us a better ending of course.

I want an ending that would make my 100 hours of game time seem worthwhile. I didn't watch Lost. You know why? Because the whole point of the show was to not answer any questions, ever. That's not the kind of thing that belongs in a game. You want to make an artsy, angst-ridden finale for something on broadcast television, that's fine. That's free for the consumer. But don;t take my money, give me something other than what I paid for, and call it "art".

Hell, I'd take an angsty ending in ME 3 if it made sense. I'd accept seeing the Normandy get gang-slammed by three Reapers, or watching Garrus get sniped by a cannibal as he tries to fight his way towards Shepard's dying form. I'd accept watching Wrex get piled by husks as he rallies his scattered troops, or Liara getting impaled by a banshee.
All I want is a sensible ending. Anything else is up for the writers.

Yes.

A new ending where all my choices actually made a difference would indeed make me feel better.

If the quality is at the same level with the rest of the story.

Good question, really. The tree may be poisoned now. That's really how awful that cluster**** they vomited at the end was. It would have to be completely and totally redone, and I don't think that's going to happen. The best we can expect is a shoehorned piece of story tacked on after the crap, which doesn't make the crap go away.

If it makes sense, respects the decisions we make throughout the games and doesn't contradict previously established lore, hell yeah!

Sure, after a few months you might get a new ending. But the original ending, the most dramatic moment, has already passed. The best you can hope for is, months later, to replay the game and pretend that the previous ending didn't happen. The ultimate moment in any RPG, that first playthrough where your emotions are running high and you're gripped by what will happen next, is gone.

I didn't like the ending, not at all. I've explained why it is objectively bad. But the internet phrase "can't unsee" is perfectly accurate here. Once you see a person's face, no amount of makeup or plastic surgery will ever make you forget how that person actually looks. This ending is the ending. All you can achieve is a high priced DLC alternative ending that has probably already been leaked to the media. Would that actually satisfy you?

Yes. At this point it doesn't even have to be elaborate. At least let me win the moral victory over Star Child by rejecting his logic outright.
