Would a new ending actually make anyone feel better?

I would still not trust Bioware and will never pre-order from them ever again.

What if they just kept the endings and tried to "explain" them as to why they make sense. As if trying to make sense of mass genocide, force merging the galaxy, or being a slave master would work. Becuase you know invasion of someone else's body without permission is okay.
The more I think about those endings the more pissed off I get at the implications of them. It is as if it was written by people who have no context to what it is like to have your body invaded by a higher power (women and laws on how they are allowed to treat their own body for the last 3000+ years), or what genocide means (uganda, rawanda, germany), or what it means to force other to think like you (slavery and mass brain washing done by the goverment of dictatorships).
Oh right, the endings were written by a caucasian upper middle class cis man. LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE!
this is a good post

I don't want to hate Bioware. I don't want to hate Mass Effect.
All I want is an ending that doesn't commit mass genocide and slap me in the face once I'm done.

Would it be better than having a good ending right away? Probably not. Would it make feel better than I'm feeling now?
Hell yes.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not, but thank you. It makes me so mad that the solution to war was the basic "solutions" that failed tyrants have done in the past.
I think I will make a thread about this.

Depending on everything you did from ME1 and ME2.
Most of the Mass relays got Destroyed. The Citadel was torn to pieces, but funny enough if you watch the scene, it didn't broke off in millions of piecs, the arms and the ring holding them was mostly in giant broken pieces.
So here was my take.
The energy "choosing destroying all synthetics" was a lie. The little star child was actually harbinger messing with you. And since you helped the geth he insidiously mentioned "including the geth will be destroyed".
Skipping battle scene and what not. You shoot the tank. All synthetics in the galaxy based on reaper technology are wiped out. Of course geth survive whether heretics still around or true. Since they are synthetics but not reaper based.
Mass Relays are destroyed, Mass Histeria follows for a few days on the Sol system as species wonder about food. However the Entanglement communicators linked to the mass relay hub in... the N7 mission where all those radio stations were at "fire base in multiplayer" if you saved it. Turns out Communications are still intact through these. And species report the mass relays are all but oblidirated. However the only ones that were destroyed were secondary mass relays.
Theory holds that maybe the secondary relays were not strong enough to hold such power output but the primary relays are still intact.
With the Quarian fleet Live Ships (if you save the quarians) turian and Quarian troops can survive for a few years in Sol, while preparations take place to salvage vessels to reach the next primary relay. earth cities mostly destroyed leave with no option but to have the rachni terraform all available land, and water, regardless if is a desert or not to turn Earth into a massive farm to supply all non dextro species for as long as possible)
Massive Salavage operations take place with everyone working around the clock on geth ships (if you saved the geth) given that their ships are faster than most since they didn't base their technology so much on the reapers than the rest. This effort is to build a single ship strong enough to reach the arturus relay and tow the primary relay back into the Local Cluster.
After a year The massive Geth ship arrives at the fringes of the Local cluster. Respective fleets rush through it to the primary relay closest to home, to begin salaving and towing process of a primary relay nearby them.
Depending on what fleets you've acquired, each specie has different ending if they dont have enough vessels. Different powers arise.
And there you have it. Not "perfect" but the primary relays are intact.
PS: in my own brain, I thought since the cutscene showed the citadel break only in big chunks. I pictured the citadel being rebuilt and providing a another ending. depending how many fleets you've had. If you recruited all fleets. Then the citadel is salvaged and although only a small part of it for now!. The combined think tanks linked to Fire Base Relay comminication hub. The Galaxy helps the stranded fleets salvage a small part of the citadel to work as it was always intended to. An Alpha relay in its own right... but with the exception it doesn't need another relay.
As a result a "put your species here" volunteers for the first jump aimed at the communication's hub system to test the mini citadel. After the "given ship" makes it to the outskirt of the system. The Citadel is aimed at the respective systems. The Fleets jump through it.
After this primary relays are tow as before.
Then add w/e you want. kind a open ended

You won't be getting real closure, just some fanfiction that was forced on Bioware. It's no different than reading an actual fanfiction and imagine that's what actually happened.
All you'd really be achieving is allowing Bioware to profit for making a bad ending by buying their alternative ending DLC.

Referring to the topic of "ending after seeing the ending," honestly... I've shut down the game after seeing the three options presented by the catalyst - I did not like it at all
