The program will frequently freeze when attempting to connect to a multiplayer lobby, either via Quick Match or by creating my own game.  After clicking "Search" or "Create", the connecting disc will appear for a half second before freezing completely.  The ME3 process has to be killed manually before I can interact with any program.

Oddly enough, this only happens about 75% of the time, and once I successfully connect to one multiplayer game I can continue to connect to other games until I exit and restart the program.  Puzzled to say the least...

I have this problem also. I tried altering every program that involves my internet connection. One time I had virus and firewall shutoff and tried to join a game and failed. I then just down steam and tried to join and it worked.

So I try that setup the next time and it doesn't work. I turn everything back on and unplug my router and connect to the modem directly. I am able to connect.

The next time I try the exact same setup, it doesn't work. So I turn off all security and am still connected to the modem directly, I connect.

The next time I try to play, it won't connect. I turn everything back on and connect through the router and try to connect and it works.

I am now back to trying to figure out the magical combination of connection and programs running to get back to playing multiplayer.

I just followed all of the recommendations (open ports, etc.) from the stickied post in the section. No joy.

Also tried:
- launching single-player (which works fine), quitting, trying multiplayer -- no success, still freezes
- connecting to the store, trying to find a match -- freezes
- changing character options, trying to find a match -- freezes

Running into the same problem, have been trying to connect to a lobby for 2 hours now but to no avail. Getting REALLY annoyed.

I've had this condition for days now. The 'Press any key' presented when you start the game also has an unusual lag that it didn't before.

I will hit quick match, the dialog box will appear and the 'connecting' spinner will stop spinning, then every 4-5 seconds the background will fade a step, and the dialog box will become brighter, as if it has been frozen during the transition from 'back ground fade' to 'dialog box presentation'. Eventually I'll get the 'you've lost connection' dialog. during this I am unable to click cancel on the searching dialog.

Same issue as Melkirs, just appeared today (was fine the day before). There is also quite a long lag-delay on the startup screen, before the game responds, and on multiplayer, trying to join a quick match creates this super-slow loading procedure, the loading disc spins a bit, then the message "searching for games" fades in, step by step, very very slowly (during this, no buttons can be clicked). Then jsut as slowly, the "you have lost your connection to server" crops up. Once it finished coming to the foreground, I can click on okay, and be thrown back to main menu. :|

Yep, exact same problem as X2-Elijah. Never happened before today, especially irritating after just unlocking my commendation pack.

Same problem. Cannot connect to a single game for the past 2 hour.

Same problem, freezes for a few seconds after 'pressing any key to continue' and freezes full stop when I try to join a multiplayer match. Never had this problem before today.

GUYS, I FIXED IT!

Quit Origin. The program, I mean. Kill the program and then log back in and boot up the game. It works fine now!

LOL. I restarted Origin and It works fine now too.

There was apparently a small 25 mb patch released for the game. I've downloaded the patch but I'm still getting a "Cannot connect to EA servers, please try again later." message. It was working fine earlier today until I got dropped from a game. I have a suspicion that my ISPs DNS tables need to be updated. I'll try adding some to my router manually and see if I get anywhere.

Even after restarting Origin and ME3 I still freeze -- and still not 100% of the time! Happy for all of you that were able to fix it though.

- rebooting the computer
- resetting the router
- using a different wireless network
- using a different wireless adapter

I've been having this problem for about 18 hours now. Feel kinda stupid that I checked everything BUT origin. Posted something on it earlier but didn't get a response, guess none of you were on, regardless I'll try this when I get home... here's hoping for the best.

Now I just wish I hadn't promoted every single lvl 20 character I had when I couldn't fix it earlier 0.0

I tried logging out of Origin and logging in again, but I still have this problem. Can't search for games to join them, get stuck on 'joining game' when I get sent invites, other people then get stuck on 'joining game' when I send them invites

Sort this out!

Can't connect to a private game, even though I've restarted ME3 several times. I'm even having problems connecting to random quick matches.

 I have the same Issue, when my friend invites me or i invite him, it gets stuck at the Joining.... Phase. Please Fix this soon Bioware. ive forwarded my ports, even tried the DMZ setting on the router, neither worked. if anyone has a suggestion please help, thanks.

same here. it drives me crazy. when i finally have a chance to play with someone from my country, i can't because of this.

with some people, it's ok. but mostly i have this "joining game..." glitch.

As soon as I click on search for games or create a game, my system hard freezes but the music keeps playing uninterrupted. This happens probably 90% of the time. I have to Ctr. Alt. Delete out of the program and then try again. This has been happening since day 1 of release.
