The main idea right now is to
a) meet her all 3 times
B) warn her about Kai
c) give her alliance assets
d) use paragon/renegade option with her father

i missed the first meeting with her (in the docs) and now she dies for me. bad thing is it seems i will just drop the game if i wont figure how to keep her alive with save editor - i wont replay it just for that and it pisses me off just enough to lose the interest.

oh and some people say she dies for them no matter what, so it might be a random story, just like Mordin on the last mission in ME2.

nope she survives in my game, and pilots a craft that appears in an FMV near the end.

Mind clarifying? I've ran through twice, saved her each time, and I don't recall this.

It's not random, that's for certain.  I can only speak to what I've done, but I had romanced her, then turned her down in the room (not the docks), had her loyal from the second game (where I had romanced her), gave her the assets she wanted, and used the conversation interrupt on her father.

I'm sure that it's not a random thing, but I think that a lot of people aren't too interested in experimenting with the parameters (at least not as many as there would be doing it) simply because of the ending brouhaha.

I'm feel a bit gyped that I couldn't have Miranda in my squad again in Mass Effect 3, especially since I romanced her in number two.  It would have been nice for Bioware to put in an option for the love interest in Mass Effect 2 to have joined the squad no matter what.   Ah well.

I kept her alive, although she was also my LI in that playthrough. I met with her all times, kept on good terms, helped her when I could, and paragon'd her dad when he had Ori. She ended up making it although the only time I saw her after that was on the video terminal before the final mission.

I guess.  Would have been interesting to have a whole side mission devoted to curing that Kepral's Syndrome that the Drell are plagued with and thus gaining their loyalty that way, instead of having to gain it by proxy because you deal with a floating gasbag that simply lacks a mustache to twirl for added villain effect.

There were 3 crafts shooting the during the fight on earth (hard to describe exact point) flying cerberus colours. It was shown that miranda was one of the pilots.

first playthrough she survived, second she didn't, third she did. In the ones that she survived I gave her access to alliance assets as well as warning her about Leng. In the one she died I still warned her about Leng but I didn't trust her with alliance assets. Oh and all three were imports where I had her loyalty secured in ME 2.

I am on my second play though and I have done everything required to save her. I romanced her in ME2, completed her loyalty mission, warned her about KL, met all three times, gave her alliance support, AND used a paragon dialogue with her dad.(I had a very high paragon score). She still died! WTF!!!!

I didn't romance her (femShep) but had a loyal import, met her (docks, Spectre video call, apartments), gave her Alliance support and I think did the renegade interrupt with her dad. She lived.

yeah, looks like if you miss the very first meeting in the docs, you are screwed. I did that, and now she dies. Cant be assed to play the game from the start, cant be motivated to finish. Was really fun while it lasted, hehe.

Must have missed that.  I didn't see anyone from the main cast in that FMV even though Miranda survived (and is mentioned in game as leading a squadron).  I have seen an Allience fighter pilot at one point, but that's just some random guy.
