If I had it my way they should scrap the game from the time the beam hits until we get to see Starbrat, either by considering a dream/indoctrination or removing it entirely by ending dlc. However since im trying to see this from both sides I would say the only other option would be to use the control/synthesis as true endings but show that it was truely Harbinger tricking Sheperd kind of like the way Luke was being seduced to the dark side by the Emperor in ROTJ. However chosing the Destory option should open up an entirely new scenario...pissing off Harbinger/Starbrat and allowing you to wake up in the rubble where you were first hit by the beam.
This gives alot of wiggle room for more story telling and better ending fights..possibly expanding it to a dialogue conversation with us and TIM to try to redeem him or to have a boss fight of sorts. At the least a final fight with Harbinger that depending on your War Resources will play out in another possible bad ending or good ending that Shepard survives.
What would make the end battle with Harbinger even better is after you beat him you would then get some scenes of the battle in space and depending again on war assets would the armies be able to defeat all the reapers or would some be able to retreat to Dark Space if your War Assets are not high enough (yet another different scenario), Doing so and getting the best ending we would get closure with our teammates in the end or maybe even when the game ends you can continue to play and go back to all the homeworlds where your friends are from and see the outcomes that way as oppose to just random text and a picture of them.
In the end it would please everyone. If you liked the originals you could stay with them. If you wanted the more grand finale style you would get those. If you want Shepard to live you get that, if you want his death its there to. In the end I believe this would appease both sides and end the foolish bickering that both sides are doing to each other.
After all we are all fans if we post on here and I want to respect someone elses responses as much as my own but again to Mass Effect Fans/Bioware and yes EA, I say please take a look at what me and so many other people are saying. Do the right thing by the fans and your paying customers give us the choice we were promised so everyone can be happy.
Will be "Holding the Line" til then
