Nah. It was a good death.
Nope, not if you romanced him. If you romanced Thane he wants to fight to live just so he can be with shep but it's a shame they completely did a 180 on his personality this time around. Besides I don't really get this line of thinking; to me death is such a terrible thing even if it’s heroic (I'm not trying to troll you I just disagree).

Not only that, it really is lazy to make the dying person make a sacrifice for the greater good. I mean, it's not so heroic if they were going to die anyway.
But worse than that, Thane's character swung back to the way he had been at the beginning of ME2, resigned to death. He was determined to live for Shepard and Kolyat at the end of ME2.

All I want is a CHOICE to save/cure Thane. Every other character from ME2 was shown that courtesy. What happened to that for Thane? And as far as the "he was dying anyway" goes - so what? We cured the genophage, Mordin is a genius, AND a cure was already being worked on. Easy peasy. Add some space magic (ME3 is full of it) and voila! Choice to cure/save, with a little quest and everyone's happy. For those that want him to die, let him die.
yeah, totally right *high five*

Most importantly it's telling the writers that no it's NOT OK that they forgot he was a love interest. That was the excuse that was given for those who don't know. They admitted the writers "dropped the ball" about that little detail. Anyone with access to youtube could have probably learned more about Thane's character then these professional writers did.

it seems bioware removed alot of the emotional investment from this game ... theres very few scenes that gripped me like the previous games .... and when they did it was usually because someone died or almost died =/

Protesting the treatment of thane's romance
Why saving thane would not invalidate his character
and now this thread.

"Save Thane Krios"
Bioware: "Ok, but he'll die of a gunshot wound later on."
"Alright we're in! Great job everyone! Thane 2012!"

Bioware didn't want to spend any time with extra dialog for our FemSeps that loved him. It was a generic dialog because they just stream lined the whole game. It's been months and I still feel cheated! It was cheap and impersonal. =(.
Well said. Very well said.

Thane had accepted his death as inevitable. Even in ME2 when you begin the romance, both FemShep and Thane understand that it isn't going to last.
Thane explained that his condition was incurable and had resigned himself to his fate. Romance or no.
