Pouring the blood is clearly evil.

Did I miss something or weren't they originally advertising that by pouring the blood you were potentially doing so in order to prevent despots from getting their hands on it?

I guess if you go out on a limb thats true.. but yeah completely not connected to the intention. Maybe I'm imagining things but I feel like some of the devs or someone was saying that when they advertised the choice.

Saurel, you did hear that and it was a deliberate misdirection (lie) on the part of the devs, to avoid spoiling the real nature of the decision you have to make.

Its not evil. It is just not the popular choice.

Nah, not surprised though. Kind of a big spoiler. Rather considerate of them to do that.

Huh? Averting despots from getting the ashes? That's not how that righteous holy man Kolgrim, put it, Maker bless him. He was very straight forward with me that by pouring the blood I was helping Andraste! Why wouldn't I want to help Andraste? Did you see her? She's reborn! I can't believe Leliana and Wynne turned on me! It's Andraste! They love her or so they said. I can see Wynne turning on me. She was imprisoned by the Templars. She can't possibly understand the true grace of the Chant. Leliana was probably just fooled by the old mage's blood magic. Down with the malifacarum and unfortunate thrall I say!

Pour the blood. Help the reborn prophet. Sounds like a plan for success!

Nah, before the game came out. They were advertising things such as party members turning on you. And they justified that you pouring the blood on the ashes was to prevent tyrants from getting their hands on its "immunity-esque" effects.

I feel like it was Mike or one of the good doctors who said this as opposed to David, Sheryl, Mary or the usual crew we hear from on the forums.

I am going to make a sacred ashes trailer of my own to the soundtrack of Ricky Martin's Cup of Life.

Out of curiousity, and not sure if this it the right place to bring it up. Why are darkspawn even in that trailer :) ?

I'm thinking I would do a "Firestarter" one.
