There is a scrap of paper in Enchanter Irving's office that seems to have a VERY small detection box. Maybe make it a bit bigger?

I was thinking of things on those lines to. Like when you need to use a skill to examine the animal in the dalish village (hope thats not a spoiler, tried to be a bit vague), I think it shouldn't just be your character available. Would be nice if a PC with that skill could be chosen to do it. Patch idea :-P

Yeah this isn't an "OMFG game ruining glitch!" thing, I just alt+tab whenever I notice these little things and drop my two cents. Not priority, but little corrections like this (and what Tears suggested) will make the game more enjoyable for those who pick it up later on down the road.
Also during one of the Rogue quests (like what you've brought up Tears), you need to equip a bow to fire off a message. I'm a mage, so I can't do it. Why can't Lelianna (or another character with a bow equipped) do it for me?
The little things.

just buy a bow that requires 10 dex. you'd probably be able to find them at your own camp

personally i would like a back rub. i would be most pleased if bioware could patch in a massage therapist for my house.

That actually ceases to be possible after a point, because of how the merchents scale their wares to your level. I was annoyed as hell on my AW when i couldn't use a crossbow for it.

not the note but other things mentions are probably my biggest gripe with this game...especially considering BioWares caliber...
There's no reason in this day and age that you can't choose companions to do certain things for you...Leliana should auto pick a chest you click on (just like NWN 2..and I believe 1 did it also didn't it???) That bow quest...it's absolutely MORONIC that I can't have Leliana, my archer, fire the friggin bow...
or how about (as said) a certain animal you have to inspect...not being able to use a companion with the appropriate skill is just plain stupid.
it just strikes me as lazy with how far games have come that BioWare did this..I mean I have a quest to fire a bow at a certain spot..but NO NO it HAS to be the PC...forget if I have 3 party members spec'd archery (course who would but you COULD) no no..they can't fire the bow..the PC MUST...needless to say that quest annoyed me beyond words..I shouldn't have to backtrack to buy/find a bow my PC can equip because of this crap mechanic

Yeah NWN2: SoZ let you use companions for conversation skills, but that was Obsidian and not Bioware.
Still, things for them to consider...
