I never liked that....my Shep is the 'War Hero' status, but he still hears about Akuze and see's and deals with the damage Cerberus does in ME1...if I had my way he would have said to hell with Cerberus and stayed on the station attempting to relay a distress call to the Alliance to come get him....his a Paragon, so I guess shooting Miranda and Jacob would have been out of the question, but placing a distress call would have been a more approbriate response than boarding the shuttle with, also going back and looking for survivors....My Paragade and Renegon would have shot Jacob and Miranda on the spot, Paragde then going back and looking for survivors.AlexMBrennan wrote...

simple answer yea there was to much liara in mass effect and not enough of the other chars but then again i expected it since she got her own comic as well as dlc, and other chars got zip.
And they dont even let you ingore her if you dont like her char she is shoved on you to much wich makes it verry hard to like anything about her char in one she was ok after that her char was pushed way to hard on the series.
I know there are alot of people that like her but for myself they took what could have been a good suport char and ruined her trying to make her to importain to the plot. mass effect is soposed to be sheps story not sheps and liara's.

Liara did have the majority of cutscenes, though the only other initial choice is Vega. Williams/Alenko isn't available until after the Cerberus attack on the Citadel, and then, only if you don't put a bullet in her/his head. I'm trying to get a "Scorched Earth" ME2 run completed, where only Legion and Zaeed survive the Omega 4 Relay mission. I've had the ME3 experience where everyone survives. I want to see the flipside, and Liara would be one of the only ones left, since she didn't go on the mission with you.
yes, her and Vega are youre only 2 choices since Ashley is still in the hospital

My Sheps are all single, so definitely not the issue for me....But you are right in the fact that I don't find her appealing...Yes, I have taken Javik to her homeworld, I just wish Shep could reprimand her for her for her behaviour both in concerns to that and her behaviour if you get the argument she has with Javik in his quarters.Fenrisfil wrote...

Initially, yes. But after a while I concluded that it was partially because if you have a different LI you don't get to hook up for a potentially long time in ME3 and partially because of her personality. That is, now she's over her youthful innocence/shyness of ME1, she's a very expressive and emotional person and the writing plays up to this a lot. As Shadow Broker, she's also a key resource outside of missions. So I don't mind. I would prefer it if other characters got as much screen time (especially other LIs), but I don't begrudge her the time she got. Actually, several times I went to her room and was disapointed to just get the "Hello Shepard" line, but she had grown on me considerably by then.
I think if you don't really like her personality, there is probably not much you can do to get away from her. Though taking Javik with you to her homeworld may cheer you up a bit.

I love Liara, she's my second favorite, but yeah, there was a littttllle too much of her.
On the first mission to Mars, Liara has a prominent role (apparently this didn't interrupt her shadow broker duties?)
She's there at the citadel explaining the crucible to the council
She's there after Shep's dream to talk to her
She talks to you in the shadow broker's office
She asks to come up to Shep's room to talk about her information box thing
She gives you the ardat yakshi mission and has a lot of dialogue for that mission
She has more conversations with you in her office
She consoles you after your second dream
She has to go along with you to Thessia and is always the one to save Shep from falling
She
has a consoling scene in which every member of your crew reminds you to
go see her despite the fact that Garrus, Shep, Vega, and VS have gone
through the same thing
She has the best romance scene with the most content and the only love interest that is fully nude
She also is placed as the default flashback if you romanced anyone besides the VS
She is the only squadmate from ME1 and ME2 that cannot really die
Seriously,
that's a bit of Liara overload. How about sharing some of that love
with all the other squadmates and ME2 love interests.
So yeah it was a bit much....
