Well, yes. She is the only one with a real sex scene, after Thessia and the Ardat-Yakshi temple you are forced to feel sorry for her, to feel sorry for the asari.

Liara, honey. There are human husks everywhere... you are talking me about monsters? What about Garrus? Palaven is a mass of fire, yet you are the only one who needs comfort for 3 consecutive missions. I can't kill you, I can't be mean to you, you appear in my Shep's memories instead of my LI. What the hell...

Not sure what anyone could have against the character. She's definitely not my #1 pick but at msot I think you would be indifferent. she's a pretty straight-up nice character, not like she incites lots of love/hate reactions like other characters.

I noticed that as I was coming towards the end of the game I found myself feeling detached from the story. I was detached from the story because apparently I played the game wrong. I played the game wrong because I chose Jack... and that realization is more bittersweet then all the blue/green/red explosions in the galaxy.

Liara is/was/always and forever will be THE intended love interest of the Mass Effect universe. The scene in the cabin discussing the historical record and a moving goodbye to her before the final push on Earth are two of the finest scenes in the trilogy. My Shepard shared beautiful moments with Liara in ME3. Jack couldn't even get a picture on the nightstand...

I don't mind since Liara is my LI. However I do agree there was too much of her when compared to everyone else.

She was my Shepard's love interest, so, no, I didn't feel that.

BUT... I did sort of feel that a few other characters got neglected.

Liara did seemed forced a lot in all three games to me.
It still didn't stop me from Friendzoning her.

I didn't feel there was too much Liara sure she was treated as being more important than some others but that is nothing new to bioware games where certain squadmates are more important than others. I do think the VS got the short end of the stick though (Ashley doesn't interact with any other squadmates)

The other characters didn't get quite as much dialogue, enforced anyways. I personally found Garrus and Tali both had much more conversation options whenever I was on deck. Liara always had a "Hello Shepard". "I'm busy Shepard", "Nice to see you." "Thanks for dropping by." Whereas Garrus had "I wanted to talk to you....blah, blah, blah." He also commented about the end of missions longer, and more in depth.

Might have just been that I exhausted Liaras dialogue early. Can't get me enough of that Asari.

Important to the plot? Maybe, but the sex scene, the fact she is your best friend always, the fact you can't be mean to her... that doesn't have anything to do with being important, that it's favoritism.

Aside from the ending and MP enforcement to get the EMS up, I feel ME3 is a beautiful game...epic... But if there is one thing that really bugs me throughout the game itself, it's the over inclusion of Liara, I just felt dogged by her...she has the lions share of dialogs, lions share of enforced missions, lions share of essentiality, lions share of screen and Normandy time...I just felt she was on Sheps heels way too much with inclusion and cut scenes....Does anyone else feel this way?

Liara is the only party member from the first 2 games who can't die in some shape or form. Wish that wasn't the case, but it's probably the reason for her inclusion in a majority of the game.

Not too much Liara, just too little of everyone else, ESPECIALLY the ME2 squad members. They were barely in the game.

Honestly BW indicated Liara would be important to ME3 so I can't really blame them for putting a lot on her shoulders.

Note: I am happy to give BW props where they earned it and IMHO they kept their word about Liara's importance.

YMMV.

Sadly as a Kaidanmancer I feel like Liara stole a lot time that my Shep could have had with him. I feel bad for people who romanced me3 nonsquaddies.

But I do have to say this while I actually hated Liara in the first game, I came to like her in 3. Although her time seemed disproportionate to the other characters on the Normandy, her friendship interaction felt less obsessive on her part. It felt like a good friendship that wasn't pressured by a desire for a relationship. So while I wish I had more time with Kaidan I enjoyed my time with Liara more than I would have thought

Honestly I wish that it didn't take so long to recruit squad mates in general. In ME1 you had everyone save for Liara right off the bat. In ME2 and 3 you don't get Tali until halfway through, and halfway through 3 that you get Ash/Kaiden. It's not so much that I think there's too much Liara. I just think there isn't enough of other characters.

I wouldnt mind a DLC or a simple patch, where Liara confronts Ashley about her continued distrust of Shepard, especially if Ashley has been youre LI since ME1,and she would say something like  "You doubt him now when he needs you the most"

Was about to say this too. About the real sex scene atleast.

But haha, at her appearing in your memories! Why everyone else has bra & panties? And bigger mystery... why is Kaiden without shirt in hospital... but Ashley not? WHATAAAAA?!

Too much Liara, not enough Tali, Garrus, ect. It really reeks of writer favoritism and I do wish there were more moments with the other LI's. Gotta be considerate to everybody's choices because there is no way everybody went for a single LI.

Nah. I like Liara. Not enough to have her as an LI, but she's still a cool character. Heck, I'm even buying the Kotobukiya figure of her (FWIW I think the "anime" design they gave her is interesting).

I had her in my party fairly often in ME3, even when it wasn't forced. I had her throwing singularities at everything.

After having almost no Liara in ME2 I'm glad she had such a major role in ME3. It was especially nice because she was my LI.

This. Shadow Broker really helped out, though. That's actually the only thing driving me to even play ME2 anymore.

I really like Liara - and I almost felt like there was not enough. Her personality has definitely grown more mature, distant and cool since the first game (which I like), but even in the romance scenes, I kinda felt she was never fully there (always preoccupied with the war and her role as Shadow Broker). I guess it's the sign of good character writing if it leaves you wanting more.

Even with a Miranda LI I felt like Liara didn't have too much "screen time." That being said, there wasn't enough screen time for many of the other characters.
