I just want the oppertunity to kill her off... i mean, everyone atlest has a chance to be killed off or not recutied, some even more than once. but alas the only way to do that is in a FanFitcion

It could be because she is apparently a fan and developer favorite, or because she is one of the characters most likely to be alive in people's playthroughs so she gets a lot of dialog. Plus she is a pretty important character I think.

Slightly too much Liara, not nearly enough Garrus. Bros for life!

ME1 Liara was way too annoyingly childish. The character became very deep during ME2 and ME3.

I agree that there was too much Liara, but she's not a character a dislike. She's fine most of the time, just too mainstream and standarized to be the "blue tentacle sexy girl from space". Every setting with an outer space seems to have acquired the trend of including one of them... Twi'lek, Draenei... you name it.

Although I didn't want Liara to give me a gift or to appear smiling at the end of my game. If my Shepard wanted any of those special moments/memories, it should be with Tali.

Maybe thats what we get, if we romanced Liara in ME 1 and dumped her in 2?

After the release of Mass Effect 2 the promised us to face consequences, if we betray our LI from the first game.
Well, Bioware promised much and I think we would still see Liara, if we ignore her in ME1 and stay faithfull to our LI from ME2.

* Looks at Avatar *
* Thinks of canon Shepard's LI *

I disagree.

There's no such thing as too much Liara.

My Shepard didn't romance anyone in ME1, precisely because he (I) fell for Tali, and the romance options offered didn't seem fulfilling. In ME2 and ME3 romanced Tali and kept loyal to her and in the end, I also get Liara's gift and flashback instead of Tali.

There is no such thing as too much Liara. She was all bit absent in ME2 so she deserves her shine time in ME3, I love it. I have no sympathy for ME2 romances except for Jacob and Thane romancers.

Arrrgh, lazy Bioware.
But thanks for clearifying.

I really liked her character, so I didn't have a problem with her screen time. I especially like how her personality changes and she matures over the course of the three games. Admittedly though, she is a pretty big developer Mary Sue.

And yes, why isn't there any opportunity to kill Liara off? About every other squad mate from ME1 and ME2 can die at one or another point as far as I can tell.

Makes me think that whatever Bioware's planning for DLC will have even more forcefully stuffed Liara...

Even though I romances Ashley and remained loyal to her through out the series, I felt that Liara was such a true friend in Mass Effect 3. She still had feeling for Shepard but after the scene with her "project" I just felt that she was one of Shepards true friends and trusted companion.

What is this, i dont even... How can one have TOO MUCH Liara? In my recollection there was too little! Especially in ME2 where she was completely glossed over - Which pissed me and a lot of fans off! At least until the Shadow Broker dlc... Glad she had a bigger role in ME3! The scene in Shepard's cabin where she's collecting data about her for future generations was BEAUTIFUL and probably my favorite scene in the game!

Sorry mate, you´ve got it wrong. There wasn't too much Liara, in fact there were not enough of her..

The problem was that there weren't more Garrus/Tali/Thane/Javic/Jack/Miranda etc

:)
