People who dislike my woman exist? ._.

Savages.

Liara is one of two crew members in the entire series that I hate (jacob).

I dream of throwing Liara in a woodchipper.  I would pay 50 bucks for dlc that consisted only of a cutscene of that happening.  Hell id pay 60 if they had dialogue wheel choices to laugh at her or throw rocks at her when it was happening.

You... You monster! D:

I cant help it :(
She just makes me soooooo angry.

Honestly though, I wish we had an option to trade her for Aria, that would have been amazing.

You know haters, there is this certain button and/or key I would like to introduce you to. It's called the "skip dialogue" button. All you need to do is press it, and Liara's dialogue magically disappears before your eyes. I mean, if you hate Liara and you choose to sit through her dialogue instead of skip it, you have only yourself to blame.

Well her role in ME2 was MINISCULE until the shadow broker DLC.

In fact, until that DLC, she basically wasn't there at all in ME2.

It only makes sense to put more Liara in the third game. Why wouldn't you want more anyway? :P

She feels like a stalker in the game. It is kind of cute... And creepy. Especially if she is not your LI.

Aside from the ending and MP enforcement to get the EMS up, I feel ME3 is a beautiful game...epic... But if there is one thing that really bugs me throughout the game itself, it's the over inclusion of Liara, I just felt dogged by her...she has the lions share of dialogs, lions share of enforced missions, lions share of essentiality, lions share of screen and Normandy time...I just felt she was on Sheps heels way too much with inclusion and cut scenes....Does anyone else feel this way?

Someone had to carry the plot.
Kaiden: May have died in ME1. Was opposed to Shepard throughout ME2.
Ashley: May have died in ME1. Was opposed to Shepard throughout ME2.
Garrus: May have died in ME2.
Tali: May have died in ME2.
Everyone else: Wasn't in ME1.
Liara: Was in ME1, canonically was involved in Shepard's recovery and kept very close watch during ME2, ME3.

She's the secondary character of the trilogy.

Liara fills the "audience liason" role that is common in pretty much every complicated story.  Her job as a character is to explain to we, the audience, the details of this complex, created universe that most of the characters in the story already know.  She also serves as a device to make connections between different piece of the plot  (through her knowledge of Mass Effect science and the Protheans) so that the story flows along in succession.  And like the writer I am quoting, she is the ONLY person from ME1 who is guaranteed not to die by the 3rd game, and thus the only one who could carry this banner.  The alternative would be to give that responsibility to a brand new character without nearly as much development or history in the series.

I wouldn't say there is too much Liara as much as there just isn't enough of other characters, particularly the ME2 squaddies. I need MOAR Miranda!

I didn't like Liara in ME1, but I loved her DLC in ME2 and she is a cool character in ME3.

That's why I really liked Liara.  I think she is a very appealing character because she changes so much in response to what happens around her.  It was very fun to watch her go from a shy, solitary archeologist with poor social skills, to one of the most powerful, coordinated people in the galaxy, forced to interact with tons of people on a daily basis.

And I agree: what happened to Miranda?  She was almost the "secondary player" in ME2 like Liara is in ME3, but her involvement is minimal.  I thought her romance was kind of disappointing too: very minimal and not with nearly the emotion and sincerety of some of the other relationships.

Yes. I am sick of having her shoved down my throat when so many other likeable characters are cast aside.

I did not like the fact that I HAD to hug her in ME2. I hated the fact that I had no right to call her off for giving my body to Cerberus and for being a creepy stalker. I hated the fact that she ninjamanced me (ok, granted, not her fault on that one, option was bugged) in ME1.

I'd like to choose if I want to be friends with her or not. But I can't. Then again, same with Garrus.

But her... too much screentime actually made me hate her. I didn't mind her at first. But too much is too much. The last flashback was the last strike.

It's a shame because I am certain she IS an interesting character. I just can't stand her anymore.

While I love Liara it would have been nice if they'd given some of her screen time to other love interests. I mean Ash only has like one conversation with you once she's on the Normandy and Miranda was given the boot all together.

I didn't like that you had to wait for like half the game to get Kaiden/Ashley in your squad.

I think the reason that she is included so much in the story, is because you can't kill her off, lol. I think the only squadmates you can't kill off by ME3 or in ME3 are James and Liara, so she has a lot of dialog and scenes because it's guaranteed she will be alive throughout the whole game.

You know you can totally call her out for giving your body to Cerberus in ME2, didn't you have that conversation with her?  Shepard gets EXTREMELY pissed if you choose the option and you get in a big fight!

Right. A big fight. One nasty word from Shep and then Liara proceeds to say "If I hadn't done it, you'd be dead!".
Shep can't say a thing to that. Gets back to being all nice and polite. Why?

Liaras romance seems awkward at times, Ashley whines way to much about everything and everything ( plus she's specist anyway). Miranda and Shepard and this is just my oppinion here was the best and didnt get the best attention. I love how cold she was until influenced for the better by Shepard. Also, why no matter who you romanced is Liara in the final flashbacks?

Liara is the character that changed most through the series, imo. I wasn't crazy about her in 1, but she really got my attention during 2 and kept it for the duration of 3. I ended up liking her a lot and saying goodbye to her before the last mission was a sad and touching moment.

I felt the focus was too much on Liara. I feel like those should be taken by LI slots, unless directly for story content that involves Liara.

Well, would you prefer to be dead? lol I mean if she bothers you THAT much, you can just skip her dialogue options and never bring her on missions.

I can get that Liara is important to the plot and shows up often. Would have been nicer if she was an extra squaddie, not a replacement for when she was important though.

However, I didn't like her inclusion in the flashback montage with Joker and Anderson. She wasn't more important than my other crewmates since I didn't romance her, so that she got the scene when the others (and most importantly, my LI) didn't was very annoying and immersion breaking. For those who did romance Liara, it makes perfect sense and feels natural. I don't want to ruin that for them. But I would have preferred similar treatment for the other LIs and squadmates.
