If it serves any good, Liara doesn't come out of the Normandy in my ending. It's Joker, Tali and Javik (5000+ EMS Destroy ending with Tali as LI).
So there you go. I finally managed to kill the blue b*tch!
Haha, ok I'll indulge you... Cause I'm at work on a slow day and bored.
Too bad it took you that long, having to suffer through the whole game an all. Well fortunately for me I had two options to free myself of Tali: either she didn't have to be in my game at all, or I could have just watched her drop off a cliff after watching her entire species die off. Who's the bigger jerk now? Lol

The playthrough I went with when I started the game had Liara as my LI so I didn't really notice it as an issue but, when I thought about it, it almost felt like there were moments when Shepard was a decoy protagonist and that Liara was the favoured character. Now, had that split off depending on how you'd interacted with others over the previous two games, allowing others to steal that limelight across other playthroughs, then it wouldn't have been nearly so glaring. Hell, I love the character to bits and I still had something of a problem with it on subsequent reflection, purely for that reason.
Coulda done without the breast upgrade though, but then I've been mumbling to myself about that since the ladies in ME2 first appeared.

i don't think theres to much Liara, more like not enough: Garrus, Tali, Joker or Chakwas
they don't really stack up in terms of face time, but possible future dlc could fix that... dlc can fix anything...
There's no reason to remove Liara's content, just reasons to add or tweak other content.
Just like the ending.
Not a fan of Liara personally but she is an important character that adds to the story, be hard to deny that.

I didn't really like her in the first game - though I like how she has matured.
She was best in TLotS imho
Also agreed. She was kind of a token "innocent, hot virgin" in the first game, but she got really b.a. wih the Redemption comic and LotSB. I think in ME3 she found a good balance between tough and sympathetic.

I felt like there wasn't enough Ashley....but to answer your question, no Liara is too cool. She a very interesting character.
Yeah I went for the trifecta in ME3 Liara ME1, Tali ME2, Ashley ME3 (shes way less butch in 3, so I figured what the hell)
But yeah her dialoque is very limited in comparison to liara, considering She is technically (obviously if you didnt save Kaiden) the one who has been with shepard the longest. I know they put a little less emphasis on dialogue wheels with crewmates in this one overall, which I suppose makes sense since you have known the meat of the crew for 3 games now.
Liara had quite a few "dialogue wheel" cutscenes in comparrison to anyone else in the crew.

She is written to be (according to me) the character that cares the most about Shepard. She's a baws.

Having not romanced her, she had way too much screen time.

Also, she didn't have a ton of dialogue btw. She had important missions but if you go talk to her after most missions, she'll say 0 or 1 thing and then go "Hello, Shepard" or something. Garrus and Javik on the other hand had 2-4+ lines of unique dialogue after each mission!
