Sorry, but there is no such thing as "Too much Liara." That's just crazy talk. :)

Not too much Liara, but not enough most others. I was especially hoping for some quality time with Zaeed. My favoret squad mate of the three games.

If it serves any good, Liara doesn't come out of the Normandy in my ending. It's Joker, Tali and Javik (5000+ EMS Destroy ending with Tali as LI).

So there you go. I finally managed to kill the blue b*tch! :D

Haha, ok I'll indulge you... Cause I'm at work on a slow day and bored.

Too bad it took you that long, having to suffer through the whole game an all. Well fortunately for me I had two options to free myself of Tali: either she didn't have to be in my game at all, or I could have just watched her drop off a cliff after watching her entire species die off. Who's the bigger jerk now? Lol :D

I think the problem is less that there was too much of her, per se ,and more that there was a lack of choice (I remember hearing something somewhere about choices mattering...) when it came to interacting with the other characters. Not just too little screen-time - though that's certainly true in some cases - but more the fact that past interactions didn't seem to factor in at all. You're sort of forced into relationships with certain characters that don't entirely make sense depending on the way you've played the previous games, probably for the sake of streamlining production.

The playthrough I went with when I started the game had Liara as my LI so I didn't really notice it as an issue but, when I thought about it, it almost felt like there were moments when Shepard was a decoy protagonist and that Liara was the favoured character. Now, had that split off depending on how you'd interacted with others over the previous two games, allowing others to steal that limelight across other playthroughs, then it wouldn't have been nearly so glaring. Hell, I love the character to bits and I still had something of a problem with it on subsequent reflection, purely for that reason.

Coulda done without the breast upgrade though, but then I've been mumbling to myself about that since the ladies in ME2 first appeared.

She's always been important since ME1. She's your main plot support character next to EDI.

Too much liara? What is this nonsense? I'm glad they made up for the lack of Liara in ME2 (apart from shadowbroker DLC)

i don't think theres to much Liara, more like not enough: Garrus, Tali, Joker or Chakwas
they don't really stack up in terms of face time, but possible future dlc could fix that... dlc can fix anything... :)

There's no reason to remove Liara's content, just reasons to add or tweak other content.

Just like the ending.

Not a fan of Liara personally but she is an important character that adds to the story, be hard to deny that.

She's so much more fateful and friendly to everyone and doesn't point a gun at me or **** about cerberus at me like Ashley does. If anything I can't get enough of having conversations with her.

I didn't really like her in the first game - though I like how she has matured.

She was best in TLotS imho

Also agreed. She was kind of a token "innocent, hot virgin" in the first game, but she got really b.a. wih the Redemption comic and LotSB.  I think in ME3 she found a good balance between tough and sympathetic.

I felt like there wasn't enough Ashley....but to answer your question, no Liara is too cool. She a very interesting character.

Yeah I went for the trifecta in ME3 Liara ME1, Tali ME2, Ashley ME3 (shes way less butch in 3, so I figured what the hell)

But yeah her dialoque is very limited in comparison to liara, considering She is technically (obviously if you didnt save Kaiden) the one who has been with shepard the longest.   I know they put a little less emphasis on dialogue wheels with crewmates in this one overall, which I suppose makes sense since you have known the meat of the crew for 3 games now.

Liara had quite a few "dialogue wheel" cutscenes in comparrison to anyone else in the crew.

How anyone can dislike Liara is beyond me.

She is written to be (according to me) the character that cares the most about Shepard. She's a baws.

As she is my main LI, I'm going to have to go with no.

This thread should have directed at those who didn't have her as an LI. Obviously those who did will either think it was an acceptable amount or not enough.

Having not romanced her, she had way too much screen time.

Was a lot of Liara, but I kind of liked it. Ash was my LI, and they didn't develop her nearly enough. Liara was kind of my BFF at the end. The scene where she mind-melds you and leans on your shoulder before the final push, and the time capsule scene both had my tearing up, lol. Manly tears mind you, manly...but tears =D

Not enough Ash is one of the few problems I have, but even then, I'm a big fan of Liara and have no issues with how much/often she appeared.

I thought she was clearly the most central female character, but she was interesting and balanced in a good way so I didn't mind it. My LI was Miranda, and I wasn't pissed at Liara for anything. I considered Liara a close friend and nothing more than that, which is rare to accomplish in a game - I think she's written impeccably as a love interest AND as a close friend. She is not obvious. The first word that comes to min for some reason is "classy", and I say that because it's 100% possible to be just friends and not have a hint of any ulterior motives past that. That's why I like Liara a lot.

Also, she didn't have a ton of dialogue btw. She had important missions but if you go talk to her after most missions, she'll say 0 or 1 thing and then go "Hello, Shepard" or something. Garrus and Javik on the other hand had 2-4+ lines of unique dialogue after each mission!

Too much? Maybe. But I had no problem with her. I like Liara, but I have to admit that she has been specially treated. She's with us from the nearly begining. Later, small event in Shepard's cabin. ( I like it, tho ), Thessia, you had to pick her, no other option. And so on and so on.. Look at VS ( Ash/Kai ). Fine, they're with us on mars and later...? Yeah, we have to wait for the second half of the game to have them back. Even Javik has more to say than VS, and he's from DLC! It's just sad. If Ash/Kai is your LI then you have to admit that Liara spends with you more time than our LI.. Seriously. That's just sad. And I'm really disappointed..
