It seems both the Warrior and the Rogue can specialize into archery. Can one of them specialize further into archery than the other or get more archery related things? Basically, I am wondering what makes a better archer, a Warrior or a Rogue?

They're equal. But the archer needs to be dex-based.

Rogue meshes better, but with a Warrior you get better armour and (likely) better back-up should the bastids get close. Pretty equal, all things considered, but you might be less attribute-starved as a rogue.

O, I think I read something about that.
So does that mean the Rogue gets a lot more Archery related things?

Who ever said that a ranger will get archery skills?

So far the rangers will get a skill to command wild life.

Yeah been talk about this on the regular forums..

Ranger is this game is not your typical Archer Woods dude... I think it endedup that a Rogue was still best for Archer because of dex?

a warrior is best suited me thinks, but the rogue benefits better from dexterity when it comes to rogue like abilities.

I don't think the Ranger specialization involves archery, I think it has more to do with Survival and Trap-making skills.  Could be wrong though.

In my opinion if your character is a warrior he (or she) will be battle up front with sword and shield (or axe or longsword or w/e). Whilst a rouge is not so up in the face of the enemy, a rouge (from what I've read) sneaks behind the enemy, uses poisons, traps, etc. That said if you're a rouge it would be better to either use the tactics mentioned above or fight as an archer. Of course this is just my opinion....warriors should be good archers as well (better armor if you're enemies close in on you to....)

Can you backstab with an arrow or crowbow bolt?

I imagine that, due to the fact that they're likely to have a slightly higher dex score, rogues will be slightly better though not by so much that a warrior archer will feel at all gimped by them.

I would prefer Warrior cause it can get up into the battle and fight, but for being a pure archer i would imagine a rouge is better

Currently in my 4th edition D&D games I enjoy playing the archer the best, I hope the fun of the class carries over to this title as well. :)

My bet would be going rogue - heavy dex build, with your next highest stat strength followed by cunning. I would go after skills based on archery (of course) and secondarily dual wield followed by a smattering of rogue utility skills.

What you do could be completly different - I tend to go min-max in what a character can do.

The rogue gets a bunch more skill points which means more poison arrows.

Is there a place I can find out what Ranger Specialization is?

Since apparently only the Rogue class can get that?

i would also like to know if you can backstab with a bow as that would give a rogue archer another advantage

It would make sense if, a la D&D, they could backstab with a ranged weapon as long as they were within a certain range. I have a feeling you can't, though.

The rogue i think, the warrior is more specialise in melee and archery will always be 2-hand for the warrior.
