Is the line starting to weaken?

I have come to trust each of you with my life -- but I have also heard murmurs of discontent. I share your concerns.
We are trained for espionage; we would be legends, but the records are sealed. Glory in battle is not our way.
Think of our heroes; the Silent Step, who defeated a nation with a single shot. Or the Ever Alert, who kept armies at bay with hidden facts.
These giants do not seem to give us solace here, but they are not all that we are.
Before the network, there was the fleet. Before diplomacy, there were soldiers!
Our influence stopped the rachni, but before that we held the line!
Our influence stopped the krogan, but before that, we held the line!
Our influence will stop Saren; in the battle today, we will hold the line!

A good tragic hero is Mordin Solus, excellently written.
Yea, the endings sapped my will to play the game. The tone of the message saying "buy more DLC" at the end of the game implies that their plans for DLC at the time mean DLC placed between the start of the game and the ending.
Hahahahahaha NO. I will not buy it, I will not TOUCH singleplayer until that ending is fixed. Put out a new mission DLC with new squadmates or weapons? Hell, what's the point, it doesn't change that my ending is going to be the uniform blue/green/red explosion that dooms galactic civilization (And most solar systems, assuming the space magic doesn't make the relays explode as violently as the one on Arrival).
The ending was bad enough to make the beginning and middle not worth experiencing anymore, regardless of new content.
I LOVED the rest of the game, so it is saying a LOT that the ending sapped my will to play SP again. I was planning to go through it with my other characters as I was playing it, sat stunned for about half an hour with Bioware's horrible ending to an epic story, then cut off the rest of my plans to play it again and booted up Skyrim.
Main point, all DLC will be moot with the ENTIRE LOYAL community while the ending stands as-is. New DLC simply will not be widely bought, and THAT is what will persuade Bioware to do Something about the ending.
The rest of their planned DLC Will Not Be Marketable until they do.

Well there is just a point at which everything has been said and it gets boring/frustrating/pointless to keep posting the same arguments over and over.
That is true. I think what it boild down too if Bioware does not commit to change the endings, is they will take future losses in both DLC and furture game purchases. The people that didn't mind the endings, or just staying to troll, will be here long after we are gone, since if Bioware does nothing, none of us have a reason to stay here.
Even if we leave the BSN at some point we should still hold the line, with our wallets.

It doesn't really mater if ppl will calm down a little, since any announcement from Bioware about non-endings related DLC will set this place on fire again (just like "Final Hours" did). In other words, whatever BW gonna do now will be a reminder for ppl that the endings are not fixed.

We're a bit calmer now mainly I think. At least I feel better after taking my mind off of it. The initial shock of the horrible ending is what got us riled up. Now we're trying to organize ourselves and keep civil. However "professional game reviewers" at IGN and others are fanning the flames by continuing to mock us, which works to our benefit more so, since all they're doing is creating a bigger divide between us and the developers. EA should really tell em to shutup : /
In any case...
Hold the line.
Yes I agree. Also if I were Bioware I would worry if all the people that hated the endings suddenly disappeared from the BSN. At that point it would be a good guess that we have walked away from Bioware for good still holding the line, and our money.

I'm not accepting the ending to ME3. I'm just tired of the EA/Bioware PR game and just don't want to play their games anymore.
I think that's the thing. Bioware are in a difficult position, needing to satisfy the demands of EA as well as catering to a section of their fan base (large or small, we don't truly know) who aren't happy with an element of their product. Adding onto that a perceived reluctance to do anything about the ending because it's their apparent vision (even though that ending wasn't decided until end of last year), it takes a lot for Bioware to agree to do anything.
If they have all played us for saps and have an additional ending/ending explanation already prepared, then commercially that's a little nuts because who will trust Bioware in the same way again, and what about those purchasers of Mass Effect 3 who aren't online? Shouldn't they also have a valid complaint?
If Bioware have been caught on the hop, we may have to wait a few months for any 'fix' as it will take that long to gather resources, art & music, dev time, internal and external testing, etc. Although many of us are saying that we won't buy any DLC until the ending is sorted, it could be that Bioware chooses to offer us a token free DLC whilst they work on the ending. That would go a long way to addressing the issue.
If they don't do anything, we may all move on to other companies and their games. However, that is a window of opportunity that will have been wasted, as well as DLC and potentially future games unsold. For me, that would be a shame as I've been a supporter (and customer) of Bioware since Baldur's Gate.

However - my apathy about ever playing the ME franchise again, and my reluctance to buy Bioware again* remains unabated.
People don't stop decrying that they were sold a shoddy product under misleading advertising and then go back to being happy customers.
Bioware take note of that: a dip in vocal complaining doesn't mean your fan base went back to being happy willing customers ready to buy your products.
----
* a clarification: I won't rule out every buying Bioware again. I'm not out to "punish" Bioware or EA. However, as a consumer, I have nothing to indicate that Bioware won't pull another "bait and switch" between advertising and release. My confidence in the "brand" has plummeted.
That has nothing to do with Bioware, or even video games: I would have the same reaction to any merchant who sold me any shoddy or misadvertised product.
So would I buy Bioware again? Perhaps - if they released a "smash hit" that was well received by the FANS (one interesting benefit of the controversy is that a lot of the game press showed their true colors by lashing out at unhappy fans, or posting ludicrous ass-kissing puff articles), but I'd wait long enough that I'd probably be able to pick it up used from my local game shop - and Bioware would see very little (if any) of my money.

No, it seems fairly strong to me. Whenever an oppinion prevails on a forum, there are eventually going to pop up threads attacking that oppinion. Doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of people want something done about the ending.

It's a stupid notion to think that the line has weakened just because people aren't fond of repeating themselves, or spending weekdays on BSN.
We're in for the long run

By which I mean: Stop posting in it so it can't continue to pop up to front page.
This thread:
#1. It is demoralizing.
#2. It gives Bioware an excuse to say that this will all blow over and ignore everything, leaving everyone screwed.
#3. It is WRONG.
Thanks,

I guarantee that rage will return full force when Bioware releases that first multi-player DLC or that prequel DLC, without releasing the the new endings.
To do that would dig another foot into that grave they have already dug for themselves
