I thought the James Vega character was really well done. Freddie Prince Jr did a great voice work and Vega came along as a really nice and friendly dude - not to mention a powerful squadmate. His interactions with Garrus were very funny too.

So, what do you guys think?

There is a love. A love between James Vega and Dinosaurs.

Just ask Liara.

I really liked James Vega I only wish we could've had more conversations with him.

In the Character Discussion forum maybe?

I liked him more than I thought I would. No complaints here.

I don't feel anything about him. He was like a "random marines in my hangar deck". Don't say he was a bad character, he was good, in his "random marines" job.

James was one of my favorite characters. He was a perfect mixture of humor and solemnity in the right times. I was almost sad he wasn't a LI option, but the friendship he forms with Shepard is just perfect, showing him slowly gaining more respect and looking up to them. Also, he's just a nice, funny guy. :D Sorta a beefcake, but his physical appearance and his personality are two separate things, which is good. He's definitely his own character.

lol Vega was great. Character had stats like a Krogan that made him a great partner for Garrus. Freddie Prince Jr also nailed the voice acting, which made this character pretty cool in my books. I know he was just a meathead Alliance solider, but he really did fit in with everyone else.

Plus, he really like Dinosaurs!

He wasn't a terrible character IMO. Think he just feels weak to some people because he was introduced in the last game, so he doesn't have as much time to develop as the others do with Shepard.

No dramas. :P It's so hectic around here at the moment that it hardly matters at this point. Anyway, welcome to the forums!

It's somewhere back in ME2, where his loyalty mission goes. He was an nicely done character, it's just that I didn't have the same kind of time to build an attachment to his character like I did with everyone else on the team. I liked him, but I didn't love him. Javik gets a pass for his novelty, but Vega is every bit the generic soldier that Jacob was, just a different nationality.

I thought he was ok until he said he liked the MAKO.

Not as inept in combat as Jacob though.

Nothing wrong with Vega, he was a well written and fleshed out character.

The problem was that, as someone introduced in ME3, people just didn't get the time to connect with him as they did with say Garrus, Tali or even Ashley/Kaiden (notice these are the wildly popular characters)

I thought his Freddy Prinze Jr. as the VA was great. If I ever decide to do another ME3 play through, Vega will be a permanent member of the away team. I thought he was awesome (and he also has that whole no-neck football thing that just kinda makes my knees go weak if he were real, but that's another story).

Did not care for him, thought he was boring.  That, and Vega is supposed to be mexican, Prinze did not even seem to make an effort to sound mexican.

I think James is a deliberately incomplete character... you don’t really have any dialogue with him beyond the first sparring session and that’s strange... I think the plan is to release DLC to flesh out his story more... maybe a little more like the ME2 loyalty missions.

Id quite like that... but my like for James was more on an eye candy level... I was gutted hes not an LI for either sex :D

You know what, I liked Jacob and Vega.

They were good. I especially liked Jacob's loyalty mission. He really shone in that one.

As for Vega? Yeah, he was good. He really shone in combat when I gave him his Revenant with Exploding Incendiary ammo.

As a character, he made me laugh.

And he owes me drinks on Earth.

Remember Bioware, that man owes us drinks!

I dont know about that... Its kinda lame when an actor goes all ORALE SOMBRERO TEQUILA MEXICAN WRESTLING with the crazy accent and all that... The guy spend years in space, I suppose that kinda changes the way u speak too
