In the other missions, do you think it would be too OP? I think it would be like a combination of the arc projector from Mass Effect 2 and Javik's particle rifle.

Pretty sure you can pick up the regular version of that gun during the Priority:Rannoch mission as a heavy weapon. I never do find them until everything is already dead though

A heavy weapon with endless ammunition? No, I don't see how that would disturb the balance...
