I can't account for why some of my values are higher than what other people have experienced. I shared my save file with several people who asked for it so they are free to contrast and compare.

You modded your coalesced.bin file or someone did it for you.

Agreed. Hopefully they'll come out with a patch that increases Galactic Readiness.

P.S. You spelled *misinformation* wrong, might want to fix that :)

We've been calling for the removal of that thread for a week and they still haven't gotten rid of it. I don't think they're going to anytime soon.

This is so easy to correct in a patch... And yet they don't even want to admit that there is a problem.

I bet Bioware/EA has ordered the employees out of the forums for now lest they be engulfed in any thing that would further destroy this PR nightmare.

Regarding the multiplayer, I really wish it would reset for each new play through.

I finished the game as a Paragon Shepard (though with that ending, I was neither Paragon nor Renegade) with 100% Galactic Readiness and maxed out EMS. I attempted a second play through as Renegade Shepard (quit halfway through) and already have a full green EMS bar and 100% Galactic Readiness.

It's a minor thing, but irritating in that I cannot see what effect having a low EMS score has on the endings since my EMS score is always going to be high, unless I got like 5 months without playing a single MP game.

Sure, but what about mods? They are active, and can remove the thread. They just choose not to, so that more and more people are misinformed.

This. I do not trust any of their senior CMs whatsoever.

There is a pirated version with double gains for all war assets.

Its is IMPOSSIBLE to get the "rubble" ending without MP or modding.
So everyone claiming to have it are either lying, modding or being stupid and not getting what we are refering to.

Again ITS IMPOSSBILE without MP or modding. Its a fact and its been proven.

IMPOSSSIBLEEEEEEE.

There. God some people.

Someone explain to me then how I got every war asset in the game and didn't touch mp, it was always at 50 percent and I got the Big Ben not destroyed and Shepard lives conclusion. My EMS was over 5000. You don't need MP for the best ending. You just don't.  You only need over 4000 for Shepard to live.

Its been datamined dude. And there isnt enough assets.
Stop thinking you fooled the system and somehow got that ending in a legit way without MP

Bioware seems to consider the availability of the Synthesis ending the best one, and that is rather comfortably possible without multiplayer.

Fans on the other hand consider the "deep breath" thing as being the best since Shepard lives (seemingly), which is decidedly not possible without MP or one of the iOS apps.

It's all semantics...

Synthesis is logically the more elegant concept, but entails Shepard being most un-Shepardly.

I'd rather get that breath in the rubble, fight my way through the Citadel, and press the right button instead of throwing myself into a raw stream of energy in some absurd hope that somehow doing so would solve anything more than poor retirement planning.

I think they originally said that the whole idea behind two different values and a multiplier based on your multiplayer (hurr durr), was to let "people who didn't want to do sidequests" play multiplayer instead to get a "decent" ending.

Which has made me wonder - if that is the case, why not just stick Readiness at 100% by default and let you increase it to 150/200% through multiplayer? Magically you have turned how it looks at a glance on its head - instead of being penalized for not touching multiplayer, you'll be rewarded for bothering.

And while they're at it, they could reduce the Readiness decay. It's a little extreme with 3% overall every day.

And also, yes, the "Don't worry 8D" post is misleading. No one in their right mind would think that the ending in which you don't survive is the best.

You're right -- you only need 4000 for Shephard to live, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to get that without MP.  I imported a 100% paragon Shephard from ME2 (and had completed all DLC available in ME2), did every single side quest, N7 mission, Spectre assignment in ME3 and mined every single planet. I ended up somewhere in the area of 7300+ (3,650). I even bought a SG to verify that every single available action was taken and it was, sooooooo, it's just not possible.

Supporting this thread again. I played my ME1 + ME 2 paragon shep and did every sidequest, etc.in ME3 and ended up with just under 3500 EMS without touching MP. I know my decisions left some war assets on the table, but based on the reports from other users here, I know I didn't leave 400 EMS worth.

Even if there is, somehow, enough assets to get 4000 EMS without doing any multiplayer or iOS app, the sticky post says 'more than enough assets' in game to see all endings, which implies that there should be room to miss some here and there and still reach key thresholds. There just isn't.

This. I only got 7000 EMS on my first playthrough just because of MP. False advertisement at its finest.

You need about 5000+ war assets and choose destroy and it shows some N7 armor underneath a pile of concrete rubble (so not the citadel) then he/she makes a breath just as if they were waking up. That is why the indoctrination/hallucination theory is so strong.

Choosing what is highlighted red for renegade which turns out to be the Destroy the Reapers option and the other two turn Shep into a synthetic and joining the Reapers (watch the eyes) so becoming indoctrinated.

You don't need 5k, you only need 4k. However, this is still beyond the capabilities of pure single player, as the datamined effort has concluded that the most you can get (after the 50% cut is made) is around 3800 somewhere.

I finished the game with an ME1/ME2 import Shephard, had a maxed-out reputation meter, and played enough multiplayer to have a final EMS rating of 4100, and I got the "Shep lives" scene after I chose Destroy.

I played with my ME2 Character, no multi player and had almost 6000 war assets so I delieve you are incorrect, it's possible.

You need 8k war assets for 4k EMS @ 50% galactic readiness. If you have 8k+ war assets, please provide a screenshot :)

But I got the ending cut scene with Shep breathing and EMS was fairly high.Image IPB I was using the guide and didn't want to enter the final battle without having it high enough to destroy and live so I can no longer remember what they end EMS was, but I got the "perfect ending" with Shep and no multiplayer. That playthrough has been deleted since it was my rush through see what story offers playthrough, I am on Xbox anywho so no screenshots ever. Image IPB Such is life. And no I never altered anything. I am tech inept I don't even know what this "altering BIN thing" relates to so I didn't mess with anything. Just recently learned how to gib fems hair a new colour. lol.  I dunno, maybe I am mistaken and my game glitched but I don't think MP effects much....

I am certain your game gliched and I believe you when you say you have not tampered with the save or any files. Some people have reported what you just said already. There was someone whose War Assest values were exactly double of what they should be the maximum.

This game has been extensively data mined by many people already and please trust me when i say this there is NO way to get 4000 EMS / 8000 War Assets without MP or other i-pad/ facebook appps... no way at all.

It is nothing new . This issue has been talked to death and is a generally acceped fact over at the spoiler groups and the gameplay forums for sometime.

Actully, initial datamining for this was done during the space edition launch period and people then doubted the posters on even the ending issue and called the posters there all liars or trolls or incapable of correctly playing the game. None of those accusation were true. EMS deficiency problem is true and valid.... :(
