An apology? I have no plans to apologize. If we apologize we let Bioware know that they can do this again, we let EA know they can do this again, and we've accomplished nothing.

If they planned an incomplete game we should apologize? Not bloody likely.

I'd much rather have a complete game. They could have accomplished the same thing by continuing the game after the credits to fool people.

I actually believe they might be doing so. Or maybe I want to believe...

No apologies if the indoc theory was what they planned all along, as they would have expected this reaction. But I will heap praise on them for being such dastardly evil geniuses.

Why we should apologize for our reaction to their appalling end? they already got our money so I think thats enough for them

Messing with your customers will have a number of reactions, if they don't respond well then it's the companies own fault.

For people that have made personal, irational and vociferous attacks on employees then an apology would be appropriate, civil and the right thing for customers to do.

For Bioware/EA pulling a stunt or failing to deliver on their marketing then they owe it to their customers to fix the flaw.

You for real? Scandal Promotion gone bad, if that is what you mean.

It doesn't matter if they have an ending or not.

- If they have, they will make people feel like idiots. poor way to treat your customer
- If they don't have, they will make people feel trolled (all the promises).

It's a BW lose, Fans lose scenario.

The funny thing is those arguing against apologizing clearly haven't read other posts throughout the thread from Bioware consumers who would readily apologize. Their insight clarifies the issue, but to reiterate:

Bioware can go this route and, provided they give the "True Ending DLC" free, will look like martyrs. In an attempt to provide a groundbreaking storytelling element, they delayed the true ending. They still gave the fans what they wanted (for free), but they simply wanted to reach a new level of videogame history with a 4th-Wall Breaking moment in the in-game "ending".

The apologies from fans would be based off of our overreactions for not believing in Bioware to pull through for us in the end; nothing else. The deception on Bioware's part needs no apology from us.

First, they would have to prove that this was plan all along. They couldn't just list the various decrepancies that people listed here. and say that we had it planned. They would have to be a smoking gun on the game right now for me to even believe it that they had it plan.
If Bioware stated after you collect ten war assets, you can turn on your radio before the 11th, you can hear Harbringer's voice, then I would believe it. :)

An apology? No, I don't think we'd owe anyone an apology. I don't mean to sound condescending or cynical, but excluding endings from a game is just... not cool. Perhaps if anything we would owe them gratitude for listening to us.

I'll be glad to know what happens next. But an apology? I don't think so, they wanted us to feel this way. So, take my money (if needed), give me the ending after Shepard's indoctrination and I'll tell everyone about how great and mind*** ME3 is/was. :)

But nothing about an apology.

Great point.

This, and if you personally didn't overreact angrily/negatively, are the best reasons I've seen thus far against apologizing.

Yes I think, the non civil, yeah refund, or curse the devs, or the guys who say they should be fired should apologize, but they probably won't, I can understand the other fans in retake, as in just looking for answers, but alot of the radicals, I would hope they would apologize

here is the updated video about the indoctrination theory, it is a very good watch. And still the only theory that makes sense of the (not)endings.

Wow. Fantastic watch. The first and last five minutes on both ends really got me thinking.

No thread needed. A free improved ending DLC is apology enough.

As far as I'm aware the only people who could get it free would be PC players. Those who own a 360 (maybe PS3 don't know for sure, since I don't have one.) would have to pay for it.

Not true.

There are 'free' downloads all over Xbox. Not only that there are also free patches.

Bioware will never see an apology fom me over this. If they planned this, fine: I'll buy their DLC. But they've also toyed with my emotions for 2 weeks during the "setup" phase of the supposed Indoctrination plan. No matter -what- happens here, Bioware's on shakier gound with me. How shaky that ground will be all depends on what they do next. And how soon they really communicate with us about what they plan to do about this.

This silence from them is horse s***. And it makes me angrier everyday. Only apology in this situation should be from them.

I don't think they expect an apology. They just didn't expect this much uproar over things.. they wanted people to think.. and well.. for some people I guess it was easier to just jump to the easy conclusion of "what you see is what you get." They tried something that took a lot of guts and it backfired, simple as.

I guarantee this won't happen again.. for any game dev.

I have nothing to apologize for. I bought a product. I am unsatisfied with it. I gave the company feedback. If the situation is resolved in a way I find acceptable, I will continue to be their customer. If not, I won't. End of story.

IF, and only IF, this was planned by bioware, it is them who own me a big sorry!

There should be no sorry from our side!
There is NO excuse to troll and depress players (maybe a day, but now it has already been two weeks ....)

Took 2 days off to enjoy the game (and hell it was asewome except the last few minutes :/) but after playing through it, i felt like I wasted my precious time. killing my plan to play from ME1 to ME3 to finally enjoy the game as a renegade shepard.

And still, no motivation to play the SP, because i know what awaits me :/

No way. We're supposed to apologize because they released an incomplete game (at best)?

I'll take back all my comments about how terrible the ending was, and I'll start advocating for the game instead of against it. But I'm not apologizing for protesting on the forums.

It's more like if Bioware does do different endings we should thank them for going out of their way to make us happy.
