But most people on this forum are also, always 'right'.
Watch this forum flood with complaints about the 'fix' ending, DLC ending or Indoc ending.
This community will never be satisfied.

If you are saying Bioware would be the ones needing to apologize, no. Those getting incredibly nasty about the endings to the point of FTC and BBB reporting, yeah they should be apologizing.
If this ending isn't the real ending (planned all along) then Bioware are gods of game development.
Thats only true if its a free DLC. If they want to make us pay for the "real ending" they had planned all along, thats just low.
Now if this is the case and its free. Then yes, well played bioware.
I dont care for the current endings, on the same token im not crusading against them. I do agree the BBB and FTC reporting is done by people that are borderline unstable. We arent getting our air conditioner repaired and finding out after two weeks of amazing functionality it was repairing with duct tape and the whole thing went to hell. We got endings we didnt like in a story. Theres no law on how you have to end a story.
Secondly, they didnt lie to us on the outcomes. They said the decisions we make will impact the ending in a variety of different ways and they did. The differences may be minor as all hell, but different none the less. Believe me they wouldnt say something about their product without making sure their ass is "technically speaking" covered. I am not defending bioware, I am just saying the people attempting legal recourse are out of their minds and no I dont respect them for standing up for their belief they are just being stupid. I do on the otherhand respect the take back people, they are going about it the proper way.

They make us buy a 60 dollar game which is incomplete?
And than make us buy the real ending as dlc?
And IM THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE?

If this is true, I'll lick the bottoms of my sneakers.
And I'll eat my beret and I don't even have a beret. So I will go out, buy a beret, and then eat it if Bioware had been planning the Indoc Theory the entire time.

^This.
They release a game without ending marketed as the end of the trilogy, but which does not resolve anything.
They remain tight-lipped and outright kill our hopes rather than support them even AFTER we pick up on the hints and evidence on the indoc theory (see Hudson's response).
They let the stituation linger and grow worse while many fans are already in depression in the meantime. Indoc theory videos are already on youtube and have 100 000s of views, why leave us hanging?
All they had to do is come out and say:
"Relax folks. Sit tight, we have a plan. We can't reveal the details yet until everyone has had a chance to play the game, but we promise you'll love it."
That's freaking it.
If they do come out with it now, I'll forgive them (because in all honesty I love the indoctrination theory), but I've got nothing to apologize to them for. They deserve every second of the fan outrage and negative press for the way they handled it.

Make me proud, Bioware. Make yourselves proud.
EDIT: To clarify, the thread would be for BSN to apologize to Bioware, not the other way around. Though them jumping in to apologize for the deception would be a nice touch.
EDIT 2: This thread is also meant to hopefully inspire Bioware to take this route (if they arent already) to cover their behinds, if anything due to the amount of fans they'd win back (as viewed by their admittance to apologize).
An Indoc ending would be brilliant because it would be Bioware's attempt to break the 4th wall and Indoctrinate the PLAYER, not Shepard. If the player still chose to destroy the Reapers in the end, despite "getting an ending" with all 3 choices, they would conquer Indoctrination, and get to continue the story.
Thanks to Dr. Hello, Intersect, and JSXDF for their input and clarifying my thoughts.
Scandal Promotion gone bad, if that is what you mean.
It doesn't matter if they have an ending or not.
- If they have, they will make people feel like idiots. poor way to treat your customer
- If they don't have, they will make people feel trolled (all the promises).
It's a BW lose, Fans lose scenario.
The only victor here is children who will get money from donation.

That seems to be the most valid argument going against apologizing. Needing to pay for the DLC would fall under the "Monetary Benefit" light that would tarnish Bioware's reputation. If they were to go Indoc route, they'd need the DLC to be free, thus claiming releasing the ending later was for a "Storytelling Benefit".shinobi602 wrote...

Completely valid point, though I'd argue that the relationship between consumer and producer (PARTICULARLY in Bioware's sake) is very important to the company. If it isn't important to you specifically, then I would consider you a casual consumer, not a loyal consumer of Bioware of whom I'm asking to apologize. The Lightspeaker wrote...

Why should we apologize even if they did plan this from the start? If they did they planned to sell us an unfinished product from the beginning and/or play a cruel joke on us. No, apologizing for being upset over this is not something that will be happening.
