Except for the last point (that hasn't crossed my mind yet), those are all on my list, too. And now that you mention it, having the option of asking my LI to move to my cabin would be all kinds of awesome. They're in an adult relationship after all, there's really no need for seperate beds/rooms and such

Yep. Although I won't go after any other romance than Ashley with the next few playthroughs, I simply want to have as much options as possible. And I definitely want my LI in Shepard's cabin.

Also it would remove the feeling of "sidelined ME2 romances" if Miranda or Jack can take their place in Shepard's cabin. You might lose their War Asset, but hey, you get them back as lovers! Also I wonder if BW makes Jacob ... more faithful. And of course, a mission to save Thane would be nice too.

More players stayed faithful than cheated.

Overwhelming majority for "yes" on romance-related DLC.

Certain *ahem* romances were seen as having unsatisfying conclusions compared to others..

I believe I wrote "unsatisfying conclusion" since the game's endings. The romance itself was beautiful but since Shepard dies and/or gets separated from his LI, it's not satisfying.

It's ALSO not satisfying if you pretend the endings are a hallucination (after Harby's beam knocked out Shepard) since you don't know what truly happened to the Normandy, the crew and the LI. You just see Shepard breathing (if s/he survived).

I left the particularly pissed-off response regarding the ME3 Jack romance, or lack thereof.

Regarding being able to ask LIs to move to your cabin, that wouldn't work for all of them. It wouldn't work for Jack, specifically, because she simply wouldn't leave her pupils. She'd need to have her own unique scene.

Thanks everyone! I've set a goal of 750 responses for the survey (currently at 558).

I've been collecting information regarding writer/dev admissions of goofs regarding romance (ex. Thane) and budget/sales data for the Mass Effect series regarding the feasibility of DLC/patches/what-have-you combined with the survey results.

Exciting stuff!

And although my main focus was Thane, I also stated my opinions on the other ME2 romances getting the short end of stick (particularly Jacob and Tali). Since I took all of my playthroughs in consideration when answering.
I will definitely ask my brother to fill this out too, the more input the better.

I romanced Garrus, Kelly, Liara (LotSB), Miranda, and Jack through various playthroughs of ME2, but I can't select multiple options.

Likewise for the ME3 options I've done Liara's, am working on Traynor's and will be following through with my Garrus romance next, and so on.

I answered for my Liara file for now, but that doesn't really indicate my feelings for the other romances.

Most people have done multiple playthroughs.  I think this is really aimed at what you consider to be your main character.  The one where you make your decisions for the first time, or that perfect playthrough character with everything how you want it.
