You run down the hall and there's a barricade you can't break.
So...I can defeat the archdemon, but I am utterly flummoxed by two tables set on their end?
Can you guys at least build a brick wall? Please?

And now I'll never look at leliana the same way ever again.
I'm sorry.
Character insight is a double-edged sword. Or straight razor.
This? This right here?
Is a good thing. Her facial expression is sad, though. She sells it, but lurking in
Leliana is someone who wants whips and a safe word. Which I guess she
thinks she can get from the Maker.

It is if you can get her to admit the thing without having to ****-foot around the subject.
Maybe if she just had a vision. "The maker wants me to submit!"
Excellent. Get me a list of things you want and I'll get on them by nightfall. Be creative. I'm taking the whole Grey Warden Sacrifice thing seriously here, so here's your chance. One rule. NO NUGS. *stern glare*

Alistair: "I hope you like heroes, my lady. Because your husband died like one."
*woman runs off crying*
Me: I've got to hand it to you, Alistair, that is HOT. Are you sure you wouldn't consent to being rented out?
Alistair: I was expressing true condolences to a woman in need. It had to be done.
Me: What does it take to qualify as a woman in need? I have to be done.
Alistair: You're...that's...that's disgusting.
Me: Fine, you don't have to "console" me. You could read me some of the intercepted love letters we've picked up.
Alistair: I refuse to listen to this.
Morrigan: Much as I hate to admit it, but I do find that Alistair's voice is pleasing enough to wet the knickers of most females about.
Me: We could go back to the Pearl. Drum up some business. We'll call them "Poetry readings."
Morrigan: We do need the money.
Alistair: I'm standing right here!
Me: And you do it so well. Fine. Just wait until I get that amulet, we'll discuss this later.
Alistair: There's nothing you could say that would -
Me: *holds up a hand* Don't say that. You don't want to be forsworn.
Alistair: Finally. A moment of compassion.
Me: No, I just don't want to make the persuade check harder later.
Alistair: The what?
Me: The moment that you've fallen in battle and require consoling. You're unconscious a lot. Just me and Morrigan, wondering what to do with you.
Alistair: That's...that's disgusting.
Morrigan: I agree.
I am really glad I wasn't the only person who totally melted when he said that. Holy crap, I felt like such a terrible human being. I remember reloading if he said the other line he has set for that just to hear it. Damn you, Steve Valentine, I am not supposed to enjoy someone telling a lady her husband is dead!

I read through all this last night, and I have to say I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
Yaaaay! I can do the touching stuff too. It's just that I prefer to not look like a 12 year old writing emo fan fic. I think the first time through I cried my way through a few boxes of tissues. There's nothing really wrong with that, it's just harder to sustain than comedy.

Alistair: Dear lady, I fear your husband has fallen in defense of Fereldan. I'm sorry for your loss.
Widow: Oh? That's terrible. I hardly knew him.
Alistair: He was your husband.
Widow: I'm not that old. Want me to prove it to you?
Alistair: I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean.
Widow: Would you please come... um... console me while I grieve?
Alistair: Of course, anything.
Widow: I prefer to do my crying in the bedroom. Just ignore the furry handcuffs strapped to the bedposts.
Alistair: Ah... yes... well... um... Archdemon? World-Saving?
Widow: My, aren't you a strong young knight? Let me slip into something less comfortable. And black. For the grieving, you know. Yes, I like to wear leather when I grieve.
Alistair: Help?!
Me: Have fun, dude.

I've only done the Dark Ritual ending so far.
I'm going to need this thread when I do the other two options.

And if you write or draw at all you're going to have a seriously hard time fighting back the urge to do something horrendously depressing. Ergh.. must.. not.. write...epilogue to the epilogue. Hate crying.

Announcing Alistair Theirin conolations. Just 2 sovereigns for 30minutes. Listen to him regail you with tails of your fallen husband/father/brother/mother. He is also available for more *cough* heartfelt consolations behind that curtain.
If he uses that "Hope you like heroes" line, he won't last more than a few seconds. Trust me. Ravaged doesn't even begin to describe the carnal horror that would be visited on him, and it'd take several cartons of cigerettes to get over it.

Well, then, one thing should be perfectly obvious. I like the crazy ones.

Fair enough! She is hawt, I'll admit, much more pleasing than Morrigan... I would just prefer not being utterly terrified of my lover going "Princess Stabbity" on me. To each is own, you know?

I totally agree with the sentiment, but fail to see how Morrigan (gives new meaning to the word 'god-mother') is the safer choice. Apprently her and Mommy Dearest used to play Preying Mantis with their Chasind love-toys.Servant of Nature wrote...

The only love interest with whom you are reasonably safe is Alistair.
Even then, if you make him king he drops you for some noble skank.

Oh, she's not. At all. First time I've kind of felt bad for male characters, usually they get better or more options, this time we ladies get a cute virgin with a Voice of the Gods AND a smexy spanish womanizer.

Boss: Hey Posey, you play Dragon Age.
Me: You hear me and Coworker talking about it often enough, why, thinking about getting it? You should, it's a great game.
Boss: No, my son got it. Grandma and Grandpa bought it for him.
Me: They had no idea what they were buying, did they?
Boss: Nope. He just picked it out and they got it. He's at the part where he just met the hot chick in the wilds.
Coworker: Morrigan.
Me: So he's not that far in yet.
Boss: I need to know if I should put my foot down and take it away from him.
Coworker: Well... it's kinda a mature game.
Me: Yeah... let me put it this way. City elf origin, begining of the game, you are kidnapped from your wedding by a bunch of guys, so are your cousin and some of your friends, and they make no bones about the fact that they are going to rape you. One of them is killed in cold blood in front of you. You then have to go a murderous rampage through the building, slaughtering everything in sight, to rescue your cousin, who, by the time you reach her, has already been raped, at which point you can butcher the kidnapper in a huge gushing neck fountain of blood.
Boss: Oo
Coworker: *laughing*
Boss: So my son should not be playing this game?
Me: How old is your son?
Boss: 13
Me: Well, if he was my son, I'd let him play it, but then I'd also be a horrible parent, so my judgement probly isn't the best thing to go on here.
Boss: Hmmm...
Me: How about this *goes to dragon age wiki, pulls up an entry with an attached picture* Boss, THIS, is a desire demon from the game.
Boss: Yeah, this game is coming off his computer as soon as I get home.
Me: And going on yours?
Boss: Yes.
