Me: "Gorim, tell me about your family again."
Gorim: "But Lady Aeducan, I've already told you a hundred times about my family... in the last hour..."
Me: "Who's the princess here?"
Gorim: "You, my Lady. I'd still like to know..."
Me: "Aw... my little cuddly rock. Don't ask such silly questions."
Gorim: "Excuse me, my Lady Aeducan, but it isn't a silly question. I start to worry... about... your mental... condition."
Me: "Are you implying that I'm nuts?"
Gorim: "I would never say such a thing about my Lady Aeducan."
Me: "If you say "my Lady Aeducan" one more time I'll have you flayed."
Gorim: "You know, if it was up to me I would call you... you know..."
Me: "I don't care who's listening. Call me what you call me when whe're alone."
Gorim: "But... my..."
Me: "Gorim... this wasn't a request, it was a command!"
Gorim: "My dearest, I still worry about your mental... state..."
Me: "You don't need to worry. I just like to hear your story."
Gorim: "And, why would that be? It's just a very short and boring story about my family."
Me: "Aw... shut up, undress and give me my sweeping with your magic broom!"

(Back At Camp)

Oghren: You know, I sodding notice that, even after being invited on this little adventure, none of us ever seems to go anywhere or do anything. I don't even have a sodding weapon!

Sten: I am still in peasant clothes.

Zevran: You have little right complain, my vertically challenged friend. Sten and I have been sitting in camp for over a month now. And that poor Dog, I don't think the Warden even remembers to feed him.

Sten: No.

Oghren: The least he could sodding do is sodding leave us in a sodding tavern. Sod it all.

Zevran: Enough with the sodding, use your big boy words.

Oghren: Sod the sodding sodders!

Sten: I liked camp better when I was alone.

(Meanwhile, Back Where The World is Actually Being Saved)

Dwarf Cryer: Rumors of Grey Warden demon worship ab-BLEEEHH!!!

Me: Ah. Better. (cleans sword)

Leliana: Is something the matter, love?

Me: Nah. Just bored.

I still have to giggle... I installed a nude-mod and can finally see Gorim's magic broom!

I thought he deserved some punishment and am walking him around the diamond quarter forcing him to be naked. He deserves it... he does...

The nudity just makes me cringe. That's why Alistair is wearing Templar armor. I can't make it through Landsmeet with that in my view. Emperor's New Clothes be damned. I'm sold on the voice, but the body just does...weird things and armor bisects people and hands move through knees and it's just weird.

So he's got at least some clothes on so he can **** me out with some dignity. Well, as much dignity as he can manage in a purple skirt.

I thought the templar armor quite sexy to be honest... nothing hotter than men in skirts. Like scotsmen... makes them... easy accessible... :P

Which brings up a good point. If Ferelden is loosely based on Scotland according to BioWare... where are the kilts?!

:(

It's just jarring.  What's the point to a purple embroidered skirt as part of a plate piece?

Aren't you supposed to fight in that thing and not dance?

I suppose it's fine for hanging out and babysitting mages, but really...we're dealing with darkspawn here.  And lots and lots of blood.  At least plate can be hosed off.

All right, I'll accept THAT as a valid point against purple skirts as part of a plate armor :P
Maybe you can remove it for fighting and Alistair just doesn't know how because they only show this to REAL templars?

That (unfortunately) makes perfect sense.

I think the full plate pieces are more practical and flattering in a non-jarring way.  Access never really concerns me, there's always fun stuff to do with clothes.  Cold metal has fun uses.

Making guys suffer by teasing them while they're still wearing their tight metal codpiece? Yes... definitely something to think about...

This playthrough I just have him in his original armor, I haven't given him anything fancy. I have trouble not giving him nice armor, though. His character looks quite handsome in the Grey Warden-Commander armor. I can just see it:

Me: Okay I have Starfang forged, that's waiting for Kain to show up... Okay, Sten here's a new shield... Zevran here's a dagger and a new breastplate, yes it's leather, just put it on, stop sniffing it. Oh, Shale, I have some sparklies for you as well. I guess this bow can go to Leli... I think that's it. *nods*

Alistair: *sadface*

Me: NO.

Alistair: But.. but... glowy! I'm still using the same armor I had on in Ostagar! It's starting to embed into my skin!

Me: That'll be Anora's problem soon enough.

Alistair: Wh-what?

Me: Suffice to say, enjoy this while you can. Sitting in camp being utterly useless is going to look pretty damn golden soon.

Alistair: *whimper*

See?

Plate can be one big sex toy.  If it's hosed off properly.  Before and after, really.  And during, come to think of it.

And inbetween you can use their codpiece to whack em on the head if they're too selfish!

That's why I save all the clothing. Noble clothes, wedding clothes, regular clothes, they all go on the NPC's at camp. The clothes come off only when it seems especially funny, like at the Grey Warden Joining ritual.

Theoretically I weeded out the "too selfish" before actually sleeping with them.

On this playthrough I have a really weird idea for a Halloween costume.  I want to dress up like Ruck, yell "CRUNCH YOUR BONES!" when they open the door, throw a handful of fake spiders at them and then run away.

Make sure to let someone make a video of that and post it here...

as for the costumes: This time with my prison break I'm extra going for Oghren and Sten to get their costumes! They're hot!

A blight is no fun without sex.

Alistair cracked me up this playthrough with my reset romance.

"Seems to me you're with Leliana.  I mean I get it.  HOT.  But..."

I mean, money, power, revenge...these are all fine, but no sex makes it a sad game.  Very sad.  Unplayably sad.

Oh definately. But I find the lack of other physical contact, hugs etc, quite upsetting.

I mean, you've just found the flower that Leliana mentioned that reminded her of her mother, you picked it for her and she's so happy! So you give her it, and she gushes over you that "you remembered!" so you stand there, arms opened wide awaiting some huggage. She takes the flower, sniffs it and walks off.

:crying:

It is, and then sometimes it's just jarring when you're getting the "stock" answer to something.

The cutscenes can get to me too.  So I pledge my foreverness or whatever, and you're still going to say over and over "Wow, I'm amazed you remembered!"

"Well, what the hell..."

I'm afraid the animations do not live up to the written promise.

One of my weird moments at least on the PC is one of my verbal favorites, but if you kiss Alistair with Morrigan in party, I love the way she says "You are both making me ill" and he says "Two birds with one stone, I could get to like this."  Then his head does this awkward jerking action while he's laughing that makes him look like Jim Carrey's Fire Marshall Bill.  My brain immediately goes to "LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!" and happy moment is over.  I've taken to closing my eyes.

Oh man, you noticed that too? God, that head bob was disturbing. I had to stop playing, seriously. I never kissed him with Morrigan around after that.

I made a screenshot while he did that... I had actually planned to use it for my playthrough where I didn't want to be "imprinted" on him. Now where was that screenshot... *rummages through her screenshot folder*

Yeah, it wouldn't be so jarring if the rest of the animation weren't so well done.

Sort of like going from some massive CGI accuracy-fest to a stop-motion Godzilla stomping through Tokyo.

How hard is it to just...fix some of that?

Did you guys PLAY the game first?

Another moment is whoever's lips when they kill the Archdemon. "Mouths don't do that. They don't. I'm sure. What the hell..." sort of detracting from the...climax and all.

Yes!

The mouth is a sort of grimace/smile that just doesn't look right at all.

First playthrough my attention was fully on the mouth, and the sword that seems to actually miss the head of the Archdemon.

Which I guess is one way to avoid the sacrifice... just don't kill it!
