*in the Castle*

Me: *punches out Isolde* *shivs Connor* *demands Jowan's execution*

Sten: Approval +4

Me: It had to be done. You really get me, Sten.

Sten: We should have set that child in Redcliffe on fire as I suggested.

Me: But we got a neato sword. And I got my Merciless achievement by intimidating him.

Sten: Good times.

Alistair: I can't believe you did that!

Alistair disapproves -25

Me: Hey. Look. Amulet.

Alistair: Is that for me? Really? Wow...WOW!

Alistair approves +25

Me: It's good to be the queen. *wanders off* Let's see, I can take Oghren to Brecilian and Orzammar and then there's the shield...I'm good. I think I'm good. Smooth approval sailing from here on.

Alistair: What, love?

Me: Nothing! Let's go talk to your sister. I'm sure she'll be a lovely woman and you will have a new family and you won't need to stay with the Grey Wardens. You can even stay with her if you need to, just like in the Fade! Sten and I can handle the rest...if we have to...*brave face with just a touch of brimming tears*

Alistair: Oh...don't...now you're...oh, Dwarves have such BIG tears. Here...use my skirt...wait, no, that's charred...um...look! Hand puppets! This one's a scary troll...rawr!

It's got a very Rocky Horror quality for me now.

Like I should yell "Duncan!" instead of Brad and "Flemeth!" instead of Janet.

Hold up a lighter during the Ostagar massacre...

Me:  No, don't loot the wolf pelts.
Alistair:  Why not, they might be...
Me:  They're NOT.  Leave them.
Alistair:  Grumpy.

A Rocky Horror reference? I think I love you.

Ah, I wish I could contribute more to this thread. Alas, I have never been particularly clever or witty. So I will content myself with simply complimenting all of you have contributed something here. The humor has been great, and I find myself in need of something to lift my spirits lately.

I may be able to offer a minor contribution after all. I can think of a theme song for one character, at least.

Morrigan: "Feel Good Drag" by Amberlin.

Well, maybe not so much of a theme song, really. It's just that the chorus makes me think of the time I romanced her in game.

Reloading Carta base save because Leliana and Zevran are idiots.

Me: Alright. Up ahead there's a trap. Lel, disarm it. Zev you place yourself in ambush over the-

Zevran, Leliana: CHAAAAARGE!
(Trap sprung. Gets blown up to bits.)

Yeah, this is why rogue is my favorite class.  Otherwise having a rogue in party is just frustrating if you aren't already driving them or pausing every 20 seconds to let them scout ahead.

Me:  *foot snap in bear trap*
Leliana:  Trap!  Right ahead!
Me:  You mean the one I just got my leg caught in?
Leliana:  Erm.  Yes.  That would be the one.
Me:  Do you see any more traps?
Leliana:  Not from here.
Me:  So I'd have to step in another one before I knew if there was one?
Leliana:  ...yes?
Me:  You're a real help, Lel.

That really bugs me.

Stepping onto a pressure plate and see a fireball the size of London come hurtling towards you and then hear Leliana:  "Trap!  Right ahead."  before you're burned to a crisp, really gets to me sometimes.

Not even  BG2 was that bad.

Wandering into the Lovecraftian setting of Haven and that creepy little house right after the guard:

Me: Eww. Bloody altar.

Alistair: That's a lot of blood.

~further up the mountain after killing Kolgrim~

Me: And a handy gong to summon the dragon.

Morrigan: Wonder what that's for?

Me: ~looks around for pegs hammered into the stone~ Wonder where they tied down the virgins? Did they have to be royal?

Alistair: ~turns pale~

~*~

On my husband's playthrough, taking Morrigan's deal, I really wanted Morrigan to throw herself on the bed ala Vala Maldoran (Stargate SG-1) and shout, "Let's make babies!"

Morrigan's theme song for that whole deal could also be Madeleine Kahn's song in Blazing Saddles.

"I'm Tired"

I'm tired,
sick and tired of love,
I've had my fill of love,
from below and above,
tired,
tired of being admired,
tired of love uninspired,
let's face it,
I'm tired!

I've been with 1000's of men,
again and again,
they promise the moon,
they always coming and going,
going and coming,
and always too soon!
Right girls?

I'm tired,
tired of playing the game,
ain't it a crying shame?
I'm so tired,
God dammit I'm tired!

Yeah... but she doesn't LOOK tired. ;) TBH, neither did Madeleine Kahn.

Guess you'd have to be a SG-1 fan to get it, though.

Hehe...no, I get it, just piling on.

Oh, no, she doesn't look tired.  She goes way out of her way to look like she's totally into it, so that she can then say she's not buying into it.

But then why all the makeup?

She hates and despises the illusions required to make herself look beautiful enough to be able to manipulate men into wanting her.

Oh...you...poor thing...here, let me blot your lipstick for you.

ROTFLMAO, yeah, I wasn't buying that load of goods either. I've been friendly to her, but really, she stays in camp more often than not. I <3 Claudia Black, but Morrigan's a bigger hypocrite than unhardened Alistair at Landsmeet.

I almost stopped myself, knowing how her giving birth to a being of god-like power turned out last time.

Last play through I had this song running through my poor tired brain. Only the line was "They're taking the wardens to Ostagar."

Oh, I love Claudia like crazy, but I can't travel with Morrigan hardly ever.  "Yes, yes, you hate strategy, I know.  Go have a milkshake.  Yes, you look fine while you're pouting.  Of course you do.  Yes.  You're pretty.  No, it's not because you're...look, just go stay in camp, okay?"

It's so much easier to keep Morrigan's approval high if you do not allow her to interact with anyone.

Not even my husband could stand her for very long, he dumped her for Lel and told me, for once, the girls had better choices.

I know.  It killed me that Alistair gets a -5 for killing Wynne...

And Morrigan gets a -5 for stopping a merchant from overcharging refugees.

Oh come on, really?  They're equivalent in scope?

Of course they are. Though I'd ask, with Alistair's fetish for mages, why his wasn't higher. LOL

He even told me he wouldn't help me.  Then he cut her down.

No wonder he's in my party.

Oh well, this playthrough I've done every possible evil thing I can do while surrounded by witnesses.  I still look reasonably "good" even though my choices result in what I know are the worst possible outcomes for the characters.  Shale's a birdfeeder, Wynne's dead, Zev's dead, Leliana theoretically got wiped out in Lothering, and I never met her because I didn't go into the tavern.  Morrigan had her gear stripped and was asked to leave the party wearing commoner's clothing.  (I was hoping Gregoir would kill her, but no.)

And doing vile things and then gaining back all the approval I lost because I have the gifts available from five missing companions...well, It's certainly working.  It'd be nice if Alistair actually left party at some point because I'm an evil, vicious **** whose actions always make something bad happen ultimately, but no.  He adores me.  And he's not having his hardening quest done because...well, that would be a good thing.   And I just can't have that.

Nah, Vala loved Daniel, Morrigan hates Alistair.

However, calling him Cameron or Crichton (the first season) would fit.  LOL  Mitchell/Crichton got his butt kicked almost as much as the early Alistair does (till you can up his strength enough to wear decent armor).

I do want to know what's with the nooses on some of the hairstyles though.
