Does Alistair insist on taking the killing blow if you're female but only friends with him? Just curious, my current playthrough has the fem!Cousland!PC as the tank and is going to talk Al into accepting Morrigan's offer (and into marrying Anora), and my next playthrough will probably be fem!Cousland!RoguePC, Lel, Zev, and either Morrigan or Wynne... With the PC probaby sacrificing herself (or talking Al into taking Morrigan's offer if I chicken out)... So no Alistair to check it out on.

If you're friends, no.  But if you ever DID have a romance, I think he will.  So just make sure you don't start one and then break up.

Gotta love the double whammy of "I love you, but I can't talk to you about anything so I'm going to break up with you and then I'm going to do whatever I want now."

After one unfortunate play through I now have a strict policy about nudity. Alistair comes to the Landsmeet naked. Morrigan also must be in her skivvies before the end of the last Redcliffe fight. That reminds me to not allow him to go to the archdemon fight and to not sleep with her for the god baby.

That seems eminently reasonable.

I don't make Alistair go naked.  But I did keep him in the Templar armor and nothing else.

Morrigan was booted out of camp in rags. 

Being evil has its perks, I find.

The God Baby thing just gives me the permanent oogies.  Nobody should ever have to have sex with that look on their face.  Unless they're into that sort of thing.

Playing a somewhat less than Paragon like human rogue I had the following conversation taking place in my head...

Scene: Lothering Chantry. Leliana has just jimmied a chest and retrieved the Bronze Symbol of Andraste inside.

Leliana: You know... that symbol would make a nice gift to.. someone.
Me: I know. You'll get it, but not right now.
Leliana: But... I don't understand.
Me: It's fairly simple. I have to grab enough jewellery to get the hawt witch beside you in bed first. Then I'll dump her I promise. It'll be so much easier if you don't like me until I'm done with her.
Leliana: That's awful... I don't think I like you very much.
Me: Right according to my plan. baby.
Leliana: Hmphh... *hands over the Brozne Symbol of Andraste to the party chest slowly*

I keep hearing about having to kill Cullen? How do you do that? I never get that option and I have played through the game twice as a mage, to get the achievements of for the mages or the Templars. How do you kill him? He is always going physcho on me in the end.

I've never killed Cullen.  He just disappears after the Circle is saved (I haven't sided with the Templars yet).

Here's something that bugs me about the game sometimes.  If someone has already posted something to this effect, I apologize.  I have not read every page of this thread by far.  Anyway....

In the Brecilian forest....

Me:  There they are.  Those are the malifecarum we're after.
Allistair:  How do you know?
Me:  We just wandered through this whole forest.  Did you see any mages performing some kind of ritual in an ancient Tivinter ruin? 
Allistair:  Well no, but there are a lot of mages in the world.  How do we know these are them?
Me:  <under my breath> "these are they," actually.
Allistair:  What?
Me:  Nothing.  Look, we were hired to find 4 malifecarum in the Brecilian forest.  There are 4 mages down there casting a ritual in the very same ruin where we were attacked by 2 ogres, then 4 undead and a Revenant.  Who else would they be?
Allistair:  Well, regardless we can't attack them.
Me:  Why not?
Allistair:  Because their names aren't red.
Me:  WHAT?!
Shale:  He's right, you know.  I can't crush their heads until you go down there and speak to them first.
Me:  Are you kidding me?  For f's sake!  Morrigan, go down there and hit them with a Cone of Cold, will you?
Morrigan:  *runs down to the mages and. . . initiates dialogue with them*
Me:  *facepalm*

Later, at the downed caravan....

Me:  Oh sweet, we get the advantage for once.  Time to rain down some unholy wrath on these ****es!
Allistair:  But their names aren't red.
Me:  Not this again.  Seriously?  They're ****g darkspawn!  We're Gray Wardens?  What else would we do?
Allistair:  Maybe the're not the darkspawn we're looking for.
Me:  Who cares?  They're darkspawn!  We have an elevated position and a narrow pass we can guard!  Attack!
Me: . . . Why isn't anybody attacking?  Look!  Darkspawn!  They're RIGHT THERE!  Get them!
Morrigan:  You're the rogue.  Why don't you just sneak down there and see what's going on?
Me:  Alright, ****g fine!  I'll go.  Everybody stay here, I'll go down there and turn their ****g names red so you don't feel guilty for killing the poor, innocent bloody darkspawn!
Me:  *on fire, bleeding to death, with an arrow in my lung*  I hate you all!

That's exactly what I was thinking of. I thought about having Allistair just say "These aren't the darkspawn we're looking for," but that would have been too obvious. Besides, I have a habit of quoting Star Wars (and Family Guy and Robot Chicken) all the time and sadly most of my friends have no idea what the hell I'm talking about when I do, so I generally try to keep that sort of thing to myself now.

Hehehe. I went to some movie (I don't even remember what it was now) with my best friend and his gril friend. It was there that we saw the very first trailer for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. Her reaction to our reaction was priceless. "You guys are SUCH DORKS! You're the only 2 people in this whole theatre who are laughing!" Which of course only made us laugh even harder.



Sorry for getting so far off topic. I'm just bored. Stuck in a hotel room all weekend with only a laptop that's not capable of playing DA:O or really any game that would be worthwhile.

It wasn't so much the cringe as it was when she leaned to almost kiss him and he leaned forward right before she blew out the candle.  I would think he would have turned his head to the side or something.  Meh.  That scene makes me laugh though.  I have the music turned down, and Morrigan walking towards the bed just looks so retarded.

Well, I just can't take her deal again.  I think I did it twice and there's no point to going there.  Her "deal" just instills doubt in whoever does it. 

I never feel like I did something to benefit myself.  Just that in a couple of years there's going to be a Pet Semetary toddler like Gage at my door.  Not good.

If I'm going to be evil I'm just gonna make Alistair do it.

When I'm in love, I'm actually IN LOVE and  I know better than to lie because I'll feel like I have to confess.  I don't want to see that conversation either.

I can't betray everything the person I love stands for.  He doesn't know what it means, but I do.  Me...personally...I'd be racked with guilt within three days.
