You wouldn't be the only one.  My first play through I wasn't sure what would happen with Alistair if I made him king, so I ended up dreaming about it all night and it wasn't happy.  I woke up crying.  Then when I played and he dumped me I cried again.  I ended up redoing the scene to make Anora queen, cause I just couldn't take it.  Bah, although apparently if you harden him he won't dump.  You still have to persuade him, but it's not that hard.

And what's this about him getting caught in Weisshaupt?  I don't remember reading that in the epilogue.  Did I miss it?  All I remember is it said he went there and told his love he would back soon...

The Weisshaupt thing never happened to me.  But I've never had him MARRY Anora and have a side deal.  He just had a side deal.  It was just me as Chancellor and him as King.

Poor Recidiva!  First Cullen, then Dairren, and then Alistair!  Men DIE for you!  Did Zevran at least live?

Mine just stick around.  And pester me.

Zevran lived.  I have yet to make it far into the game without either getting involved with either Alistair or Leliana.

I know I accidentally slept with him, but that just sorta...happened.  I had no idea what was going on.  I'm sure I said yes to something, but it was much of a "Oh really?  Wow...that was quick.  And therefore, no fun."

So I guess if you show up to late and your spec is entirely screwy for a decent support character, you're safe.

I've done too many playthroughs as a rogue.  Lel and Zev became entirely obsolete.

It's hard not to get attached to Alistair when I pretty much relied on him entirely as a tank for the harder difficulty games or Leliana if she's the only rogue available for...half the game.

That Antivan massage snuck up on you, too, eh?

Back soon means what, DA:2 starts with you rescuing his pretty blond head?  I was stuck in Denerim, worried sick, Anora was a b---h, complaining about how if he's gone why couldn't she wear the crown... the Wardens were holding the King of a sovereign nation.... You're darned right I took matters into my own hands.  Plus,  Zevran was bored and Dog needed some exercise.

Ha!  Too true.  I can't wait till they come out with a DA:2.  The new add-on, The Return to Ostagar, looks fun too.  I have had a lot of dreams about DA.  Especially in the beginning.  I lost to the ogre and foolishly decided to wait till the next day to try again.  So of course naturally, all night I dreamt about the ogre and defeating it.  The same thing with the archdemon.  Shame on me.

I don't even think I got a massage.

It really did take me a long time to figure out that all the characters are as uptight as Puritans even if they say they're not and you better not be nice or there's a cutscene in your future.

Zevran's flirting style is much more like mine in the end  - "I say you're beautiful because it is true." is pretty much my thinking.

I have no problem in real life telling someone they're absolutely drop-dead gorgeous or charming or if I were free, boy would I...

But that's...flirting and being complimentary.  It does NOT mean Antivan massage!  But apparently I'm wrong.

Oh and there's another thing.  Why did I have to get thrown into jail...naked?  Was that necessary?  That's all the public nakedness I needed.  I also noticed when Dairren died, I was naked and punching for that fight.  Whereas if I was alone, no naked punching.

I think Bioware is really pushing celibacy as a solution in general.

I was naked both when I was with Dairren and without.  I guess my character just liked being naked.

Well, naked is good.  Just generally not in combat.  But that's what I get for being a heavy sleeper.

He didn't marry Anora either, he was unmarried and we were living in sin.  When I ended the game, she was locked up in case he bought it in the final battle.  But somehow, in that ending card, she was there.  And I got the Weisshaupt thing.

Oh come on.  Some men venture in.  Now and again.

I can't help it that I'm a girl!  I can't!  And I'm not getting surgery just so people aren't afraid to get to know me or they'll end up dead because of it!

The only Anora comment I got was that apparently she was somehow Queen and our shenanigans made her uncomfortable.

I assumed it was a bug.  The endings are seriously wonky.  I try not to take it personally after 70 hours of trying to get one, but I do suffer from some "Oh dammit."

My two weirdest game moments:  "Who is that last **** at the Landsmeet who votes for Loghain?!" and "WHY does Brother Burkel die no matter what I do?!"

Anora is sneaky. She has definitely earned my respect. When I played as a male human noble, I hardened Lelianna, spared Loghain, proposed marriage to Anora and let her ship Alistair off to the dungeons.

We defeat the bigbad and joy reigns throughout most of Ferelden. So I pop the question to Lelianna about being my mistress. She agrees. Then drops the information that she's heading off to the Deep Roads. Anora had suggested that she is ideal to study darkspawn in their natural habitats. Lelianna was actually excited about her impending reenactment of Uriah.

I don't know, but I want him dead.  Fortunately, I won Landsmeet with only his vote against me.

Hmmm.... I think it's just a matter of time constraint. Everything in these games, romance included, advances at a much faster pace than it would in reality. In a lot of fantasy novels, it can take 2 or 3 books before a romance between two character fully blossoms. I personally wouldn't mind seeing something like that in fantasy games as well, but I think gamers as a whole prefer quick, if not instant, gratification. So we get relationships that develop very quickly, even if we weren't really trying to pursue them.

On the other hand, I also feel there's nothing wrong with a purely physical relationship, if that's all both parties are interested in. Morrigan tells you that's all she's wants, but if you continue to give her gifts she gets all possessive and jealous on you in no time. But then, Morrigan is. . . not right.

I didn't get that either!  Bah.  Mine just said that Alistair was a good king, studied government, visited the common people and only left his loves side briefly.  Then the thing about him going to Weisshaupt and that he would be back soon.  There was no mention of Anora what so ever.

Oh and the stupid bald guy that sounds all nervous who always votes for Loghain, boo to him.  I usually get most if not all the votes except for dumb ass.

I think he's in the Gnawed Noble near Bann Wulff. Burkel is the only quest I intentionally ignore. I'm pretty OCD so it takes heavy meds and all my willpower not to click on that big "!" above him.

Yeah, that was a big surprise to my male, who assumed - hey.  Lots of free sex at camp.  Morrigan says she has no designs on me.  Awesome.  I'm all in.  Well, you know...well, I guess literally there too.

But then I start up with Leliana and they start bickering and then they both tell me I have to choose.  What happened to "no designs?"  So when you said that you really meant "Designs" right?  Morrigan opposite-speak.

THEN with a female I start up with Zevran and Alistair, Alistair's hardened and he slept with me and Sophie.  He'll share, right?  NO.  And it's ZEVRAN who says that he can't continue to hurt Alistair's feelings.

Celibacy.  I'm telling you.

At least that's where my male ended up.  I couldn't stand the pearl clutching.  Dumped 'em all.  I should go back to that save game and talk to Zevran...hm...

Oh man, the one time I didn't help him, it combined with Dagna's research and a Circle of mages formed there outside the Chantry's control.  So then they were considering an Exalted March anyway.  Argh.

Though it was almost worth turning him down for this dialogue:

Sten: This chantry encourages faith in an unknown god instead of understanding oneself.
PC: There's nothing wrong with faith.
Brother Burkel: Are you saying you will help?
PC: No, I was just talking with Sten.

I'm surprised Zevran didn't stay with you.  My game guide said that he would, but maybe that's only when you become queen.  Either that or it's just wrong.  It has happened before.

I was actually thinking about playing another character who doesn't get involved with anybody. He'll sleep with Isabella, and that's it. At least with her I know exactly what I'm getting, with no strings attached.

Everybody else... **** it. These people are crazy.

I'm sorta bracing myself for the kiss-off from Bioware at the end.  "Nah nah nah nah nah. You suck!  Look at allll the people who died.  Oh, but this one chick ended up with Bann Teagan and they were happy."  "Woot!  Bann Teagan!"

I made no attempt to manipulate.  I just was flat out bluntly honest and that never goes well in this game.

Tell Leliana I poisoned ashes.  Oooh.  She didn't like that.

Tell Leliana that her comments are beneath her dignity.  Oooh.  She doesn't like that.

I'm gonna do it.  I'm gonna go romance Zevran on my severely gimped bad guy that has no poultices left because I wiped out the Dalish...

Oh yeah, Zevran didn't like that either.  Hm.

Yay for Bann Teagan!!  I like him, I'm so glad he doesn't die.  I flirt with him every time I start the Redcliffe quest (since that seems to be the only time that I can).

I do like Bann Teagan too.  He seems to genuinely enjoy...um...entertaining his nephew.

And he yells at Isolde.  That's worth a lot.

Though he always asks me what I want to do about Jowan and then ignores me and leaves it up to Eamon.  My current playthrough I insisted on executing Jowan myself and he didn't let me :(
