Oh, if you haven't watched before, you're in for some fun!  I'm almost jealous.

I totally agree about the total awesomeness of Michael Rosenbaum.  What I disliked about the show, besides the utter retardation of all the character was the story line.  To me to continuity seemed to just be way off.  I understand that we don't know EVERYTHING about Clark Kent's past, but we know enough that when somethings off we recognize it.  Boo.  As for Heroes, the only reason I watch is because of Sylar.  I admit it, I think he's good looking and I feel for his character.  I keeping telling my mom that he's not really a bad guy, he just needs a hug.Posted Image  Heh.  Other then that, the plot is just everywhere.  It's like a Sci-Fi soap opera.  Everyone's related, but then they're not and no one is ever really dead, (they're just mostly dead, pfff) and nothing is as it seems, ever, and people keeping switching sides all over the places.  It's a total mess.  Shame.

I think Syler is an evil son of a **** and I adore him.  The genius of the actor is that he can make any total crap they throw at him (and 90% of it is total crap) work.  He's a genius.  He can make me care and everyone else, I don't give a damn, they're all dumbasses.

I love Hiro also and he's got about the only comedy in the show and he makes it work too.  They're the only ones I give a damn about.

Zachary Quinto is wonderful.  Either as a sociopathic super-villain or a tortured Spock.   He and Hiro make that show.  I still want to slap Claire.

Yeah, even Sam sucked it up and has stopped his emo "I could be Teh Ebil!" whining.  Course, that was because the awesome Dean slapped some sense into him.  I always prefer the characters that take Option "C" and face reality.  (Well within their imaginary world.)

I loved Rosenbaum's Lex and the long slow slide into evil by way of good intentions.  (I told my husband then that Star Wars needed to take notes on Lex's fall.)  He's also Clark's one true failure.  And I think they're actually beginning to show Clark realizing that.

I'm grateful that they never made the whining or doubts THE STORY.  And that's what happened in my opinion to Heroes and Smallville.  They just turned into soap operas with super powers.  I don't like "story lines" that can be solved by an inch of backbone and a dollop of guts and a scoch of common sense.

Instead of each story really being able to stand on its own and make sense.

I know story telling requires conflict.  But I get really, really sick when they make the conflict between the "good guys" be the biggest conflict.

There's evil to be squelching, so stop ****ing and go do it and tell me a good story.  Thanks!

I love Zachary Quinto so much.  It's an actor's workshop event to watch him spin crap into gold.  It really is.

I even love Hayden Panettierre as Claire, but she can't sell it.  Because for some insane reason she hasn't killed her own "father."  Man, Noah is worse than Duncan.  Give me a break.  Someone kill that man.  He doesn't have any super powers other than sucking.

My absolute...all time favorite...suicidal teddy bear.

This calls for a link.

Teddy Bear: Look at this. You believe this crap?
Dean: Not really.
Teddy Bear: It is a terrible world. Why am I here?
Audrey: For tea parties!
Teddy Bear: Tea parties? Is that all there is? (starts crying)

Well, they're doing all the BAD THINGS about comic book writing (you know, the reason I don't read them) and ignoring the good things.

Yup.  It's why I don't watch soap operas either.

And I hate "science fiction" or fantasy that basically involves putting hot chicks in blue makeup or leather and then making them just as inane as you can get.

Again, I have boobs.  Not impressed.  Say something funny or smart.

I loved the old Uhura too.

Sulu:  I'll protect you, fair maiden!
Uhura:  Sorry, neither!

Hehehe, yep, her, too.  I had Princess Leia, Lt. Uhura and Miss Piggy as role models growing up.  Is it any wonder I turned out like I did?

I think my favorite was the Romulan Commander.  She rocked.

Nope, original.  The female Romulan Commander.  Spock romanced her in order to steal the cloaking device.  Awesome.

Wow, a character from ToS I don't remember. I didn't think that was possible. (My dad was a HUGE Trekkie and forced us girls to watch it at dinner Got to the point where I knew what planet they were on by the color of the sky.)

OMG!!!  That was Hi-freakin'larious!

Now I feel bad, the only reason I didn't watch this show in the first place was because of Sam.  He played, heh, Dean on Gilmore Girls and I couldn't stand him.  Yes I watched Gilmore Girls.  I watched because of Milo Ventimiglia, until his character got lame and I stopped watching all together.  I should stop doing that.  Meh.

Also, to add, I LOVE Zachary Quinto.  He really is an awesome actor.  I was so glad HE was the one to play the new spock.  I've been watching Crossing Jordan and he's on one of the episodes.  He plays the son of some dead guy who turns out to not be his real father or something.  I was like awesome.  I've got Steve Valentine and Zachary Quinto all in one show.  Yay!!Posted Image

She was my favorite.  From "The Enterprise Incident" - sharp, smart lady who handled it like a pro.

And she didn't have to be blue or wear leather.

Yay!  Enjoy, it's definitely worth checking out.  The writing's really good and there are just gems like that sprinkled through the whole show.

I had such a crush on Luke Skywalker.  I still do actually.  It's thanks to Star Wars that I ended up loving fantasy and sci-fi so much.  That and my parents love Star Trek.  Every Friday night they would let me and my brother stay up late so we could watch TNG.  Good times.

I had more of a crush on Han.  Luke was always too whiny for me. I pitied Obi Wan and Yoda for having to work with that.
