I think she's more of a Doberman. Alistair reminds me of a Golden Retriever. Zevran is a Jack Russell.

Ooooh this is fun.

Sten. Sten is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Oghren is a beagle.

I have no problem thinking of her as Pomeranian.

I'll have to go with that in a sense memory way.  I wonder if she'd sit on my lap and let me brush her hair.

Probably, if it'd get her the throne.

OK, now you've got me giggling again.  I'm imagining a pomeranian with those braids.

Nah, Al's a Lab.  Less hair.  And more smelly.

I can see him as a Lab. What about Lelianna? Having trouble thinking of a breed for her. Poodle is the French choice, but she doesn't really have the personality.

Irish setter.  Hair color and religious heritage?

That's the look. But all the setters I've known were stupid and placid. Would a collie work for her? I've known some schizophrenic collies.

Because a border collie is clever and would totally keep your eyelashes in a jar to protect them.

I can go for border collie.

I like Leliana.  She's just rather accepting of things though.  I guess that's the placid acceptance of the maker's will that I get from her.

Morrigan is more border collie to me.  With the herding behavior and the snapping at heels.

Me: Here, Alistair, you should have my family sword and shield. I'm sure you'll keep it safe.

Alistair: That's...that's incredibly generous. I'll watch over them.

Me: I know you will. Daveth, Jory, you both make sure you know where the injury kits and the poultices are.

Jory: I shall, m'lady.

Daveth: Anything else in there you want me to watch over for you?

Me: You're funny!

Daveth: I am at that.

Me: Okay, if anybody sees and interesting plants or flowers out there, let me know. I'm going to be pressing some flowers and leaves from our trip. And maybe some sketches if there is a scenic overlook.

Alistair: You do realize we'll likely be beset upon by darkspawn? Probably from...you know...all sides? And there are a lot of sides to a forest.

Me: Oh, I know. I'll kill things. But we want to remember why we're saving Ferelden, right? We're not just killers, we're here to preserve the beauty of this world.

Alistair: There's beauty?

Me: Sure there is. And handsomeness. I can't imagine a better day than setting off with three handsome gentlemen. Goodness, Jory, don't grip that handle so tight, you're going to have your hands go numb. Let's just relax and enjoy our trip.

Jory: *starts to pray under his breath*

Me: *starts to hum*

Well, he already has a minor obsession with his hair.  I'm aiding and abetting, but I'm telling you...new graphics card...everyone's gorgeous.

Well, no one told me how to beat my nightmares. I figured out I had to be strong enough on my own. I always pack a longsword or an uzi in my nightmares now.

I've torn through legions of zombies in a sporting arena with my bare hands. Also engaged in airship wars against dragons, gone on exhausting adventures, learned to ski and pick locks and hack computers, escaped the police, and solved mysteries. I also learned to Falcon Punch and perform deathdefying acrobatics. I am the reason dinosaurs went extinct. Sometimes I even fly. Like I said, I have a VERY active imagination.

And you wonder why I have a such hard time waking up in the morning...

Stephen King is reported to never have nightmares because he puts them all in print.

Well, everyone in Hollywood said Vincent Price and Edward G Robinson were lovely gentlemen. They were able to use up all their inner evil on screen.

My dreams are just BIZARRE!  I have a lot of lucid dreams, and although they aren't scary they're weird.  I'll feel trapped in my sleep.  I'll want to wake up and I'll think I am, but nope.  Still sleeping.  They're not all bad though.  Some of my best dreams have been lucid dreams.

My dreams aren't scary, or at least I never remember scary dreams nowadays, but falling asleep in chair sometimes leads to a weird moment when you are almost awake, but can't move a muscle in your body and that is really, really scary sometimes.

I do have dreams where I try to stand up but can't seem to. I assume this is because my legs are already straight and I just don't know it. Although sometimes when I wake up I have trouble standing right up too... hm.

After a particularily scary moment I looked it up and apparently your brain normally shuts off all motor control when you sleep to avoid strange behaviour when you dream. But under some circumstances you can regain semi-conciousness a bit before motor-control is switched back on, which leads to the sensation I felt, and this occurs typically when you fall asleep sitting in a chair, rather than lying down in bed.

Dang it. Sexist thread bit the dust. Moment of silence as I must move on and cope with the loss of comedy.

When I was a kid, I used to have this recurring dream in which I'd wake up and everyone in the world was dead except for me.  Everywhere I went, all I'd find were rotting skeletons.  That's about as bad as it ever got for me, and I haven't had any strange or supernatural nightmares like that for over a decade now.  Most nights I go to be so exhausted that I'm asleep as soon my head hits the pillow and I sleep too deeply for dreams.

Those night when I can remember dreaming, it's usually just bizarre nonsense that makes perfect sense to me while I'm dreaming but no sense at all when I'm awake.  Other times, it's disturbing.  I remember a dream in which I committed suicide with a knife.  I can't recall the situation clearly, but the feelings were too intense to forget.  Fear, pain, and then a deep dense of calm as I realized it would be over soon and I'd never have to feel anything ever again.  More recently, I had an intensely violent dream in which I and 2 of my friends went on a GTA style rampage, killing as many people as we could indiscriminantly.  After we made good our escape, there was regret.  Not for what we'd done, but that I could never go home again.  So I started plotting against them, trying to find a way to pin our crimes on them and clear myself.   I am still rather troubled by that one....
