Honestly the first question of the poll stopped me:  "It is important that the DLC allows the player to prevent the "Normandy Crash Scene" from happening..."

I just want to know what the heck it was doing out there to begin with.  I mean if there is a reason for it fine, but TELL ME WHAT IT IS!  Just showing us something that is totally out there like that makes no sense.  They could have shown a scene of Joker scubba diving in the Virgin Islands and it would have made as much sense.

Don't you know?  Your entire crew abandoned you as cowards at the last minute.  Yoink!  Sucker!

Garrus: "That Shepard...what an IDIOT!  No way I was going to die with him! He can go chat up star babies all he wants but me?  I'm smarter than that!"

First, how is this in the right place?

Second, how is wanting the happy ending option bad? In ME2, if you wanted a happy ending, you could earn it. I don't think anyone's saying there should be only happy endings, but that it should be one possibility.

The only groups trying to limit those options are those who are saying, take what you're given and shut up.

I fail to see where allowing Shepard to live and reunite with her LI is "uber mega-happy". The galaxy is still wrecked, even with the mass relays up and working, and there's a ton of rebuilding to do. More to the point... it looks like the numbers are even skewing further to the "ending rewrite" side than they were before.

As for the ending that took control from me and went full retard cinematic. MY Shepard would never ADVANCE on the thing he is trying to blow up. See, he knows that when you blow something up it is best to be far away from it. MY Shep unslings his rifle (because it is more powerful and longer-ranged than a pistol) and backs away from the pretty tri-color energy beams. He backs away to what he judges to be a safe distance and fires away WITH HIS RIFLE to detonate the colors. Only a full-on idiot would approach a high energy thingy as he/she is trying to blow it up. MY Shepard is vastly more intelligent than the auto-suicide Shepard in the game ending.

Here is a fan made collection of different endings that shows us the scope of what could have been done.  Look in the description for the alternatives. <3

The video pieces of the 3 alternate endings are just awesome! Well done. If we didn't get an extension or DLC, some clever fans shud do a mod ending. Hell yeah

One of the things i hear the most on this forums is that the end of ME3 made them sad and depressed. If plotholes and inconsistencies were the only thing they cared about they would just feel confused and angry.

The feeling of depression in the community is an obvious indicator that ALOT of people here wanted a happier ending.

The results are not surprising, whats surprising is how people still say only a small part of the community is sad over the bittersweet ending.

Indoctrination clear winner for theme of DLC.

I'm not suprised.. no retcon required, no changes needed.. nice, clean, break.

I'd personally settle for the Scooby Do ending:

The Scooby Do Ending

Shepard:
Let's see who the Illusive man really is!

*rips face mask from I.M's head*

Everyone: Why! It's Sykes the janitor!

Shepard: You knew that Earth tourism was in trouble, ever since Big Ben went digital, and so you made The Reapers to burn it all down so you could collect on the insurance!

Sykes: Yeah, and I've have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

The only problem I have with it. Is the fact you can't continue you on. Especially in the ending such as the survival ones.

After seeing your avatar and laughing with you - I put forward that the star of "Blasto - The Jellyfish Stings" makes a brief appearence in the epilogue somehow.. on the Citadel post battle maybe.. signing 8 Autographs at once..

All 3 endings lack any closure. I mean I understand having one sad nihilistic ending, but all 3 of them? I was gonna resell my Mass Effect, but Bioware would only profit from me selling it to someone down the road. So I'm gonna break my discs in half, that way Bioware doesn't get anymore money from me or the poor sap that would have to go through the same thing I went through. I spent years playing this series playing all 3 Mass Effects. Yep, I'm breaking my discs in half. Sad sad way to repay your customers.

I'd be fine with a less "tin-foil hate" theory. Like he had a bad dream after being shot by a huge damn reaper laser system.

i want an option for a happy ending, i dont demand death and despair like so many " intellectual " types do, in fact cliche is actualy " the hero dies ", its the current trend in a world full of depressed ppl, options is what most of us want, not happy rainbows.

Except we know indoctrination is permanent. So once reapers win or are destroyed Shepard is a mindless husk that will eventually starve. Is that a "dignified end" that people actually want? Image IPB

hahaha you have gotta love the fact that polls with 60k people are being ignored yet one with 6k at BEST is being targeted and used to attack the "takebackmasseffect" movement, i dont agree with it at all and it makes you shine as a person who is looking for any weapon they can use cos deep down you know the movement has a major point xD
