I don't know about full refunds...

I mean the ending was atrocious, but the game is completely awesome before it.

I was disenchanted after the ending. I came back to the game realizing there was a lot of stuff missing. I can see a lot of ideas were in the game that were cut short because of development time. Now it is just depressing.

Really? 60 dollars for a game, don't you think they deserve a product that is to their liking?
Not to metion those that brought the collectors edition like me. People deserve refunds if the product purchase was defective, fasely advertised, etc.

Honestly, I think this is a bit too far. Sure, the ending ripped my favorite universe to shreds, but aside from those last ten minutes, Mass Effect 3 was nearly perfect.

No.  That is the risk of going to a movie, purchasing an album or book or game... you aren't guaranteed satsifaction.  I've had plenty of games that I didn't enjoy but didn't whine for a refund.  I accepted the risk.

And really.. ME3 is still an awesome game that might even have the ending some are clamouring for at some point.  O wait... that requires patience, something almost no one has anymore.

I disagree. I really love the endng but if people dont and really feel 5 minutes ruined everything, I really want every place that sells it to give everyone a full refund if they dont like it. So they go away.

Ending DLC, fix, reveal... there is no official word but these people clamouring for a refund because of the ending aren't even patient enough to see if they will get what they want.

Bioware had over 2 weeks to at least give a concrete statement to fix the ending.

Hell even one sentence saying "we are working on a fix/DLC for the ending" would have been enough and takes less than 5 minutes to type up.

After 2 weeks and no official concrete statement regarding this, I think we've been very generous by giving them that long to come up with a reply. So no, your 'impatient' argument makes no sense at all.

Yeah... cause all regions had it two weeks ago... o  right... they just got it Thursday.  Oops.

Seriously, 2 weeks is not that long especxially given the release schedule they had.  Amazing what this world considers patient anymore...

Cut the attitude and sarcasm. I said we waited 2 weeks for an official statement from Bioware, which they couldn't even be bothered to do. Not even a 5 minute short reply. Like it's so flipping difficult to type out something to let us know if they intend to fix or leave the ending as it is.

Nobody's talking about fixing the ending in 2 weeks and nobody expects the ending to be fixed in 2 weeks. If you seriously thought that, then you, with all respect, are a retard.

You waited 2 weeks for a reply on an ending when the game WASN"T OUT IN ALL REGIONS!  What do you not understand about that?  Once the game came out in Japan Bioware started to ask for feedback and talk just a little about this issue.  Depdning on their plans, it isn't unreasonable to actually give them more than the four days since the final release of the bloody game.

And notice how the only thing I commented on was patience and not delving into insults right off the bat? Don't give me crap about attitude...

Yeah, I agree.  I hated the ending, but the rest of the game was great.  I'm on my third play-through because the majority of the game was so well-done.  While I realize others disagree, for myself, I didn't feel like I'd been cheated, or that the game wasn't worth the money I'd paid for the collector's edition.  I suppose that it's a victory for those of us who want the ending fixed, but at the same time I'm kind of worried about what's going to happen to my favorite game developer as a result of all this.

I'm sure that a lot of people would say they brought this on themselves, but I don't think one mistake should ruin them.  They need to hurry up and do some damage control while there's still a majority of us willing to forgive them.

Seems fair.

Also another nail in the coffin of the whole 'it's art' bollocks. This is a product, and it was falsely advertised.

The conclusion is far and away the most pivotal part of the story, it's parting impression colours the entire rest ofthe experience, and the miserable, nonsensical railroaded ending we got, that is completely different in tone and execution to the rest of the game, has undeniably ruined Mass Effect for the vast majority of customers. It's why we have this massive backlash.

Games are too expensive to jerk us around like this, and the fact it has zero replay value for alot of people and didn't do what it was promised it would means I'm glad we're getting the option of being reimbursed. It's an unsatisfactory product, so it's only fair.

I always reply to undeserved smug misinformed attitude with insults. They are on the same level of rudeness to me. A punch for a punch.

The game is already out in most regions already, and almost all of them have reported back that the game was bad because of the ending. Even, for some stretch of the imagination, if the last places to get the game like Japan reports back saying the game was good, it would be a drop in the ocean of the global consensus that the game's ending is bad.

Either way, why no reply to the community?
Why can't Bioware even say "oh we are waiting to gather all regional reviews of the ending before we decide if a DLC is viable"?
If you leave the consumers in the dark, and Bioware made no indication that they are even looking into the ending issue, then you can't blame them for wanting to return the game, especially when retail outlets give you a small window of time to return games.

Let's say if people decide to listen to you and wait. Then Bioware announces that they will not be fixing the ending. Can they go back to you and hold you accountable for ruining their opportunity to return the game when they had the chance? Are you willing to be held responsible for it?

This is good news that will get Bioware/EA's attention, but it still won't win them over to our side.
We need to continue to hold the line. We need to keep the pressure up.

Don't let this stop you from pressuring them. Be civil, be loud. Hold the line!
