Except the product wasn't crap.
Except it was. Gameplay wise, the game is mediocre. Story wise - the ending nullifies the entire story pretty much, so it's a moot.
Um no it wasn't crap, the gameplay was addictively fun (especialy when you start experimenting with different classes) and the story was pretty good despite the endings.

Man...we've playing this game for like 5 years. I don't like the fact that my response was "what the hell' after watching the end. I shouldn't have any questions at all or feel confused.

I've got to stop buying digital downloads.
Well, Steam has been really good to me. Even when it was my fault they gave me a refund on a game that wouldn't work on my system. (Shoulda read the fine print.)
But as far as Origin goes? HELL to the no.
No issue with Steam from me. Chances of getting a refund from Origin on ME3?(sorry I'm too busy laughing at what I wrote to go on).

They saw this said
Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.gameinfor...s-effect-3.aspx
“For people who are invested in these characters and the back-story of the
universe and everything, all of these things come to a resolution in
Mass Effect 3. And they are resolved in a way that's very different
based on what you would do in those situations.”
Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://venturebeat.c...fans-interview/
“Fans want to make sure that they see things resolved, they want to get
some closure, a great ending. I think they’re going to get that.”
“Mass Effect 3 is all about answering all the biggest questions in the
lore, learning about the mysteries and the Protheans and the Reapers,
being able to decide for yourself how all of these things come to an
end.”
Interviewer: “So are you guys the creators or the stewards of the franchise?”
Hudson: “Um… You know, at this point, I think we’re co-creators with
the fans. We use a lot of feedback.”
Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.gameinfor...PostPageIndex=2
Interviewer: [Regarding the numerous possible endings of Mass Effect 2] “Is that
same type of complexity built into the ending of Mass Effect 3?”
Hudson: “Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to
build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about
eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is
coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot
more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many
decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that
stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings,
where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got
ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a lot more sophistication and
variety in them.”
“We have a rule in our franchise that there is no canon. You as a player
decide what your story is.”
And see the product delivered didn't contain any of that and realized it was false advertising and it's customers were lied to. You've gained more respect from me than I thought possible Amazon.

No, gameplay is no longer a valid excuse for the narrative. This is the ending of a trilogy that has spanned years. The narritive is just as important as gameplay, and guess what narrative fell flat in such an amazing way that a company is GIVING REFUNDS because their customers are upset.

People 'deserve' what they're entitled to. Whether or not the game before the ending was great.
I thought those who hated these endings weren't supposed to be entitled whiners. Are you now saying that you actually are entitled, but not whining?

I've been playing this series just about as long as anyone and if you pay attention to what is going on in ME 3 there is alot of resolution to different arcs throughout the game.
Tell that to Amazon.

But no resolution to the events of ME3 itself, and the events of all the previous games become completely irrelevant in light of the literal god in the machine.
The Krogan still got a new start on Tuchanka with the genophage cured, The Quarians are breathing fresh air on Rannoch, and in a good way the Salarians can't screw with any pre space flight species.

It think it sucks that "entitled" has become the buzz word of all the "UR BEIN A WHINER" people. We are "entitled" to an ending we were promised.
