2 weeks without a comment. Right now... I just want my money back. Multiplayer is boring... I actually have to FIGHT to try to complete more than one mission before the "ending depression" sets in...

Pity that Origin is... well... Origin.
We have as much chance of a refund as we have of Bill Clinton dancing in a frilly dress.

wow I'm so tempted. Although I'm wondering how Amazon will get their money back from EA. I gotta say though i have severe mixed feelings about this. I really want Bioware to just fix this. I still love the series...all 99 hours and 55 minutes before I got to the stupid ending.

Amazon probably saw an opportunity to pick up the slack to gain good will.

At most they suspect they will lose a couple thousand dollars and gain loyal customers.

ME3 was awesome till the last 10 mins of the game. I just don't understand how they drop the ball this bad. The ending is so bad that i rather believe my Shepard DIE in ME2 and the reapers won.

And we didn't deserve a crappy product either.

Except the product wasn't crap.

Except it was. Gameplay wise, the game is mediocre. Story wise - the ending nullifies the entire story pretty much, so it's a moot.

Um no it wasn't crap, the gameplay was addictively fun (especialy when you start experimenting with different classes)  and the story was pretty good despite the endings.

How dense are you? Your opinion is in the minority. Deal with it.

About what?  That 99% of the game was good?  I am not in the minority in that regard.  The only thing I am a minority in is that I don't think the endings (while crappy)  ruin everything.  So yeah make sure you know what I am saying before running your mouth

lmao. The ending ruins replayability of the entire trilogy. It is an insult to the fans. That is what the majority thinks. If they believe it ruins the game for them, then how is your opinion more accurate? Try using your brain in the future.

Yes because disagreeing with you means I am not using my brain.  Troll

i'll but my next game on amazon, for sure..

Here's a good practice I just recently picked up. It is exclusive to PC digital downloads though so if that doesn't apply, sorry.

1. Game is available on Origin or Steam, maybe even on sale.
2. Check Amazon digital listing to see if the game actually *requires* Steam. ("Steam Activation Required" is becoming very common)
3. Is the price better? Are there additional incentives to purchase through Amazon such as the famouse $10 credit?
4. Buy through Amazon
5. Amazon will immediately give you the registration key to use in Origin or Steam
6 Use key, it's as if you bought the game through Origin or Steam but with the extra goodies Amazon gave you.
7. And now, as we have seen in this thread, you have also gained buyer protection.

As upset as I am with the endings, we shouldn't make this a part of the movement to change the endings. If you want to return your game, so be it, but I feel I got my money's worth out of the game, which is also why I'm not totally opposed to paying for a new ending piece of DLC. I can understand swearing off BioWare products in the future, but this? This, if anything, is the entitlement that all the gaming sites are proclaiming us to be exhibiting. If anyone does decide to turn in their games, I would ask you to kindly leave The Line as your opinion will hold for very little over a game that you no longer own.

I agree. Now, if we hear an OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM EA OR BIOWARE
that they will do diddly squat to fix this debacle,
THEN I WILL PERSONALLY SEND them my copies of all my BioWare and EA games.
Doing so prematurely is jumping the gun. Not wise in our eyes.

Hold The Line

Not really. There is a world outside BSN you know. Profession reviewers lauded the game. Sure, be skeptical about it but Gametrailers has been consistent for me and Kevin Vanord is well respected by the gaming community. Comments from various gaming sites come mostly from users who are disappointed with the ending (or point out a few minor flaws) but recognise that the game as a whole is great and people who simply enjoy the entire game. Non-professional reviewers on youtube have also mostly praised the game. A couple like AngryJoe and JeremyJahns lambasted the ending but still strongly recommended the game to fans. It seems to me that those who trashed the entire game as worthless based on a mediocre ending ARE the minority.

All you have been doing is trying to prove people wrong for their opinions. If someone says that the endeing makes the  game bad, then to them it is bad. You have no right to tell them otherwise.

Amazon is actually a very consumer friendly company. Most of my entertainment purchases go directly through them due to price and the way they've taken care of me in the past. I was surprised and relieved to learn that they could even help with this.

Another person completely missing the point? Im sayign that if people believe that the endings are bad, then you ahve no right to tell them their opinion is wrong. It doesnt MATTER if they are in the minority or majority. Stupid people.... And even if they arent the majority (which I doubt considering I dont know a single person that likes the  endings) the portion of people that dont like them is large enough to warrent something being done.

Guys settle down. People are entitled to opinions. We don't want to get too crazy here. It won't make us look good as a movement. We've got bigger fish to fry than this tiny debate. Our critics will attempt to use anything they can to discredit us as whiny people. So let's just cool down.

Edit
Take a break and cool off. There will be more people holding the line in the meantime.

It depends on your definition.  If you consider developer quotes regarding what to expect regarding a definitive ending that reflected your choices in game, then obviously this game did NOT deliver that.

It is a 10/10 game for gameplay, but again, does not deliver what we stated would be delivered from the story element per developer interviews.

Some people play the game for the story, and their character's actions reflected in the gameworld, not the gameplay.

I see how you feel but respectfully disagree along several lines.

If you feel that you were cheated / deliberately misled then I see no problem with returning a game.  I would even go so far as to say that if you feel this way then it's your civic responsbility to do exactly that.  In addition this may even give BW economic incentive to fix the game and do a good job.

Finally I fully intend to rebuy the game, all DLC, the ending DLC, etc. if / when Bioware actually gets around to delivering the product that they promised.  As long as the folks returning games make it clear to BW that we'll come back into the fold if they live up to their pre-release promises I don't see any downside.

Folks there's no need to argue here. It'll only end up causing more pain to all involved. We all have the right to our opinions either way, but getting into arguments over them isn't going to help anyone.

Remember, hold the line!

Exactly, Amazon has done  a disgustingly good job by doing this for their bottom line, they may take half the price of each key in loss, but they will so beyond make up for it. Also considering they just launched their DD service not so long ago this is like a gift on high.

Well this is an interesting news.... I mean retailers like Amazon actually listens to the feedback and respond to it ...unlike the CREATORS of the series , Bioware.....

This is just another asset to show that people who have a business mind, knows what they are doing.

I doubt many would return their copies and wait for a fix but those who want to return it ? Well I cannot blame them. I foolishly got pulled to Origin's Digital Deluxe trap.... Never ...again.

Also... I hate it when people use '' entitled'' as an insult. What is this about Mainstream that pick a word and twist it into their liking ? Customers are ''entitled'' to the products they paid for..simple as that... There is nothing '' degrading'' about it. It is a damn business.

And if we didn't actually cared about Mass Effect or Bioware...we would've left the moment we see the ending. Does hurting Bioware benefits me ? No. Will it gain their attention and actually force them to break their frustrating silence ? Maybe.

None of us wants Bioware to close up shop and they probably won't even if NO one buys the game again. But when we are being lied to and literally decieved...we have the right to take precautions against that whether it be a boycott or just warning your friends about the game to spare them the disappointment.

I may not agree with extreme methods...but they are used against us many times in the ''mainstream '' media and so on. It is as if they want to taunt us. It will only hurt themselves since we already paid our money and there is not much to lose other than our faith in the devs once we loved. And once that gone too...they may as well lose their loyal customer base....
