 let's establish:
1. they rate games for a living
2. if the story had serious problems, they will point it out (and may or may not make fun of it)
3. they believe in "artistic vision", and that developers should not yield to gamers' opinion
4. they will be hugely disappointed in Bioware if they budge

this is the equivalent of : (in the case of a bad game, like 5/10)
going up to a painting, tell the painter (and nearby crowd) the painting sucked, that his artistic vision was way off, but he should not change it if anyone else comes along complaining, "hey you came up with this mess, stick with it. If you dare to improve your art, or try to make more profit, you will lose all credibility as an artist!"

to clarify: I agree the ultimate decision is for Bioware to make. We are merely voicing our concerns and suggestions. Bioware should not feel being coersed into making changes. But they should think about "how do we make this game the best thing ever" and "how do we make a future profit"
