If they did nothing about the ending? How many of you can actually say you would never buy another game from them, even if they released a ME4?
In all honesty, if the endings are left standing, I would not buy another game of any kind from Bioware and ---especially--- would not buy ME4. I am a very firm believer in consumers voting with their wallet, and the fact that this ending was even considered as a great idea (let alone saw the light of day) does not give me any faith whatsoever in their ability to produce a good RPG anymore. I'll find other places to spend my precious video gaming dollars.
Considering how poorly they've handled (or not handled) the consumer response to ME3 so far, even if they do fix ME3 and provide better, more logical endings, I am still going to view every future game of theirs with a caution I didn't have before. I don't want to spend absurd amounts of my free time begging the developer to write the proper, rational endings (plural!) to their saga they promised. Having to endlessly explain the absurd plot holes they foisted on me.
I don't want to get attached to a universe and characters again only to have such an intellectually offensive ending dumped on me that completely disrupts my immersion in the game world. I want to be
playing my video games, escaping all the stupid and horrible things going on in the real world I have to deal with every day and can't fix.
I am a very long time fan of Bioware. Baldur's Gate, the original KOTOR, the ME games - I bought Dragon Age cold, without seeing a single review, trusting entirely on their reputation + how much I had enjoyed their prior games. Their RPG's have been a wonderful escape, drawing me into the world's they've created and connecting me to the characters. This was the one video game company I utterly respected.
I don't any more. And the next week or two will determine if I have any respect left, or if they earn some back. The ball is in their court.
