That might be a bit extreme, but that's how I feel now...almost two weeks after finishing the game.

I tend to be a 'never say never' kind of guy, so I imagine if a game comes out, get's like 90's and 100's from the fans, is a type of game I enjoy, and I can find it in the bargain bin several years after its release....

Much the same for any EA game, actually, if things stand as they are.

And even if they fix it, it will be along time before they earn my trust back enough to pre-order anything.

After SWTOR and now the ME3 ending, why would I buy another Bioware game? That would be like hitting myself in the junk repeatedly with a hammer.

Err... I hope you decide against that.

When DA2 came out i was a bit irritated but i chalked it up as a minor stumble by an otherwise great studio.

But if they leave Mass Effect in shambles like this..

..yeah Bioware is definately of my to-buy list for good. Flawless reviews mean nothing as we have learned. And i probably wont be inclined to dig through the forums to find out what their next game is really like, spoiling it for me in the process..

I'm not buying another Bioware game firsthand.

If they decide to go back to making games worth $50-$60, then I will.

I enjoy playing RPGs, and it seems like BioWare no longer wants to make RPGs (or at least want to "streamline" most of the RPG elements out of their games). I love the fact that they are becoming more inclusive to women and the GLBTQ community and would truly like to support them for that, but that's difficult to do if they're making games that otherwise don't interest me.

Edit: When they released DA:O, I thought they still cared about players like me, then DA2 came out and... Nope. Guess not.

Never is a long time. I generally never say never, unless I'm talking about, I don't know, fencing with a shark. I can safely say I'll never fence with a shark.

I'll probably still buy their products, but it'll be after hearing how they turn out, rather than pre-ordering them months in advance.

I can honestly say that I would be wary of my purchases and would absolutely  never pre-order another game from them. I'd wait to see and judge quality (if it's an ongoing series, that means waiting until the whole thing ends). The most LIKELY scenario is that I'll never buy from them again- their promises and advertisements were too blatantly broken/lied about. I'll have better luck with other video game companies- I really don't see myself shopping BioWare in the future.

I can say with absolute, one hundred percent certainty though that if Mass Effect 4 comes out, and the endings have been fixed in no way? Not buying it. That one is absolutely certain.

Understand Bioware will never go back to caring about single player tactical RPGs where you write the story.

They took creator of the Mass Effect universe Drew Karpysyn off the project after ME 2 and put him on SWTOR. The lead designer and developer Brent from Dragon Age: Origins LEFT Bioware over a a dispute on what they were doing internally and wanted to do with DA 2. ME 3 is the direction they wanted to go. They took their best talent and put it into EA aka SWTOR. EA invested over $100 million into SWTOR and I'm certain they demanded the "Best" talent Bioware had work on SWTOR.

SWTOR isn't going anywhere. You're not getting the talent back responsible for making those old games you loved. SWTOR is make or break for the Bioware/EA arrangement. Those still willing to buy Bioware games are kinda like the player after that "game" is over they look up at the scoreboard and then start yelling, it's not over! I'm ready to go, let's keep playing, it's not over!

Denial isn't going to help. Just do your part and warn any one else from purchasing ME 3. Let them end the series as it should have ended, in their own minds. Don't support Bioware and EA giving you subpar projects. Stop, saying it's ok that they do as well if you EVER want someone to give you what you wished ME 3 would have been.

Someone will, if you PROVE there is still a market for it by not taking this garbage treatment from Bioware.

Bioware was once one of the most respected RPG game developers. Can't say that anymore. The transition between Dragon Age: Origins & Dragon Age 2 gives us a clear picture where the company is heading and that's not something that really interests me. As for buying DLC for ME3, I'm not interested in replaying ME3 unless they fix those god awful endings, so unless they fix these, I won't be buying any. Besides there are plenty of great gaming companies out there, especially when you have a soft side for indy games like me.

Right now with what EA did to Bioware in the recent years and what's going on now, I'm really not interested in buying EA games as a whole.

It's time to switch to CD Projekt RED. I hope they will make games not only in the Witcher universe.

No Bioware, no EA.

If I really have to play something EA publishes then it'll be picked up second hand to make sure they don't get one single penny from me.

I would never buy another game from them, especially if they released an ME4.

I go to them for good writing.  They have proven they can't deliver that.  I'll go elsewhere.

I'm going to save myself a ton of money.

Before these recent Twitter comments, no, if I was honest with myself, I would've bought in.

However, in lieu of these comments coming out right now I think the ire I'm feeling might lead me to it. Noone should feel this way from playing (and paying for) video-games. If they're going to continue being obtuse over it then CD Projekt here I come.

no. I no longer trust the developer. They end 5 years of good gaming with a vague answer and some blinking lights. No more. They let us down with DA2, but it had some sort of ending...that made SENSE. This..does not.

Not one more dime.

I know I wouldn't buy another Bioware game as I would have lost faith in them since they seemed to have lost touch with their own community.

-------
If they finally own up to their mistake and fix the ending (I don't mean a forced happy ending but having options all the way from the Reapers winning up to a Happy ending, with about 18 different variations like Bioware initially said that would represent your main choices throughout the series)

Edit-

After DA2 I didn't buy any of their DLC and don't plan on buying it.

If ME3 goes the same route without any honest statement about the mistakes they have made then I definitely will stop buying anything with a Bioware logo on it.

Yes, I can say that if they don't fix my favorite series of all time I probably will just give up on games entirely. Especially BioWare games.

I can't prove anything, but we'd see the same faces on the forums 3 months before launch, praising BW and hyping up the game. You say you'll never buy another BW game, and maybe you'll resist the urge to pre-order it when it comes on amazon, but as soon as the first gameplay trailer or hype-article is released, you'll be the first to drive to your local gamestop and lay down your cash.

Bunch of hypocrites. Maybe in a year I'll dredge up this thread and see which of you posts in the DA3 Game-Owner's Discussion thread. Ill bet most of you.

I would not. I boycotted SOE back in the EQ days, never purchased another SOE product.

I can stop purchasing BioWare products - mainly because - I don't trust them to treat me as a customer *right* anymore. They used to be so great, but this ending - and their LACK of response to us - the fans - is getting beyond frustrating.

I don't pay a company money to make me feel miserable. Image IPB
