I battled it FOREVER before destroying it by accident (I didn't realise you had to hit each side twice....) but it didn't give me any experience or items. Is this a bug because I battled it for so long, or does it seriously give no exp/loot?

I feel kinda ripped, it was a pretty epic fight -.-
