All the compaints here are getting stale, we need something else unreasonable to whine about, and I am shocked to see nobody crying about the lack of horses, despite the fact that horses would have no purpose at all in the game Please commence inane discussion about horses below the line. :innocent:

I recall being told that horses were hunted to extinction by Gryphons.

Since teleportation magics do not exist and horses were not included in the game I call BS on that and hereby demand my horses! How in the hells else are people supposed to be traveling about? Wagons pulled by Qunari?
Cue the Sten 'No' image.

(Another great post, Sloth. Made me smile.)

Eh, I may regret posting in this thread, but I'll chime in that I agree with you. Horses (or any other type of mount) is not needed in this game due to the nature of the world.
IF the world were completely open (which I really don't care if it is or isn't) then I could see the need/want for mounts.
Maybe in the sequel, if the PC is a grey warden, and if the world is open, and if we gets mounts I would love to have a quest to find the long lost (and apparently no longer extinct) griffons and reclaim them for the grey wardens.

I demand horses! *nodself*
I was a bit disappointed about the no griffons, would've been cool. I guess I will just have to settle as Alistair as my mount.
Would be very cool if a dlc let us find the last of the griffons or something, even if we don't get them as mounts...

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen archdemon?
There are "mounts" in the game, you just never see them doing anything but sitting in a coral or wild-the Daelish Halla.

there is a huge ox that you see during the random encounter with the dwarf trader and it is hooked up to the wagon so i assume its pulling it but it woulda been nice to see a stable in denerim with a horse sticking its head out of it, but no horses arnt that big ah issue

Why would there be a stable in the merchant quarter?

Only if the horses can permanently die, have capes, non-dumb wizard hats, export & import tools, and beards.
I believe that covers most of the ranting that needs to be done.
Oh, and they need to be DLC that is NO LESS THAN 30 minutes long, otherwise I'm not paying!
