BioWare, you wrote an epic tale, set it among the stars, and designed it to tether our common humanity. And you did this through the wonderful characters you developed.

The ME characters with whom we've cultivated relationships over the epic have come to life for your fans. Legion asked if he has a soul, and the answer is that for many of your fans, you wrote one into him, just as you did for all the other characters your fans know and love.

I know you listen to your fans. You listened to all of us who missed Liara in ME2 and brought her back so poignantly in ME3. I hope you listen to this as well: although Shepard's story is over, I hope in future ME titles that you do not toss aside all these other characters—characters into whom you invested so many words just so that in turn we could invest real relationships through our Shepard.

We all know that Shepard's story is not so much about Reapers and galactic heroism as it is about his bond with his squadmates. Without his companions aboard the Normandy, Shepard would be a much less interesting character, right? So, let him retire. But, please, keep Liara, Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Miranda, Ashley, Kaiden, Jack, Legion, Thane, Joker, EDI, and the many others. Please, do not snuff out their light after so many years of making them brighter for your fans.

As for the ending, I have a simple suggestion. Let us know how all these characters are doing 5, 10, 200 years after Shepard's final act. Perhaps, allow one a few words of reflection, so we know he or she is still thinking of Shepard after so long. Maybe it should be Liara. :)
