Claymore is a total beast on a infiltrator, definately my favorite. For more alll round classes I like the GPS but my trigger finger gets so tired from squeezing the trigger button in all the time lol

Not if you use the quickshot mechanic within cloak, 3 second cloak cooldowns with Claymore FTW.

How does that work?

I'm quite fond of the Katana, Claymore, Eviscerator, Graal Spike Thrower, and Wraith. Haven't used the Disciple before, but it sounds a lot like the Scimitar, which I don't care for. How is the Disciple's accuracy compared to the Scimitar?

Only recently discovered this myself, basically if you cloak right before shooting you don't incur the stated cooldown for cloak.

Cloak>Run Around>Fire the Claymore = 10second cooldown or whatever it shows it being

Cloak>Immediately Fire Claymore = 2-3 second cooldown on cloak.  Pretty epic for blowing through enemies.

Yeah I actually got into a heated arguement with someone over sniper usage and cloak and didn't understand he was referring to this.  Once he explained it a little better and I went and tested it I was like (O.O)

Such an amazing trick.

Another cloak trick is to start charging a shot then enter cloak. When you release the shot it will not interupt cloak (on a downside I don't think it get the damage bonus either). This way you can cloak and get off two fully charged shots without breaking cloak, or hit-and-run.

for turian soldier, Scimitar is the best. 8 shots/clip high fire rate, fast reloads. I you're under pressure and miss a few shots, you're not screwed. the same can't be said for the GPS and the Claymore.

Claymore since the GPS uses projectiles which makes the gun useless in laggy matches cause you can't hit anything , same with the falcon. If the game doesn't lag i would say they're even but the claymore is still the true one shot death shotgun especially with ammo , damage mods + Adrenalin rush. With this setup you can take out hunters , centurions and marauders in one shot even with their shields.
For biotic characters the disciple , katana X or Scimitar VII should keep cooldowns low.

Problem with Claymore is it's a single shot shotgun. It's *blam, click, click* unlike several of the other guns. I highly reccamend it not on Silver or Gold games unles you know of a cheap way to have your gun fire shot after shot without neeeding to be cocked after every shot. i died several times in single player on ME 2 on harder difficulties levels due to the cocking part not registering.

I use the Claymore on Silver as a Quarian Infiltrator and owned the match, but yes if you have weird lag you will always be screwed not matter what weapon you are using.

I had cryo ammo III and shotgun Rail amp II and I was one shotting Geth , they would just shatter into ice shards in one shot. Very satisfying

Katanna is basic but itsn't a bad shotgun. Solid damage, not alot of weight.

GPS is a beast though.

I love geth plasma shotgun, it's funny when the first time I use it like a noob, then a guy told me "you can actually charge and run with the GPS"

Geth Plasma Shotgun, the only excuse you have not to be sporting a sniper rifle.
Graal Spike Thrower, but it requires good connection, good ability to predict the projectiles trajectory AND being a good shot ontop of it.

But if you have the skills & internet connection, I believe Graal and the Geth Plasma gun are equally effective.

The biggest problem of the GPS is that it doesn't sound like a shotgun. It does good damage but it totally lacks the satisfying feeling and sound of a shotgun like the Claymore. You feel like you are throwing 3 snowballs at the enemies and the pellets also look like that. But they do damage.

Good luck taking cover or jumping down ladders, etc while trying to do so. It's the second main thing I don't like about it. The first main thing is the "reverse" triggering, just don't like it. But that's just a personal opinion. It's definitely a strong weapon.

1. Katana is a good easy to obtain shot gun if you want to cast.

2. Scmitar is good if you want something that is forgiving.

3. Disciple I believe staggers the target but I have never really tried.

4. Graal only have level 1 so not going to use it. GPS is better anyway.

5. GPS is awesome. Level 10 with Ammo Pierce and Damage mod make this a deadly weapon. Just learn how to charge up your shot and then aim. You can even melee in between shots and keep the weapon charged.

6. Claymore I suppose a case could be made for Infiltraitor. I don't like the gun because if I want power I will use GPS. If you miss you are screwed. Overrated in my opinion.

7. Eviscrator this is a nice middle of the road option. Giving you a little of everything.

Question. I have a Talon 3 I believe is this really a good gun? What class would you use it on?

"best" depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

low weight? katana, scimitar, and eviscerator all have the same weight at the same level. i personally go with the katana as a low weight shotgun since its got a good balance of speed, magazine size, and power.

general use? geth plasma shotgun. good accuracy at range, strong base damage, five rounds, and can charge for stronger hits. just really great all around.

long range? graal is best for squishy drells if you want them to carry some kind of a shotgun, so you don't have to risk close quarters combat. plus it charges up too, giving you a reason to stay behind a corner and recover your shields while you prime the shot

high damage? use infiltrator with a claymore. the more base damage the gun does the better your % bonuses will be, and the claymore is the strongest shotgun. like most shotguns, it shoots eight pellets instead of a sniper rifle's single bullet - that way you can strip shields AND deal damage to health in one shot. plus an infiltrator's hide-and-shoot combat method is perfectly suited for a single-shot shotgun.

but imo the most important question is: what do you put on a krogan? the optimal weapon here is the disciple. it's not terribly great in any particular stat, but it will stagger almost everything in one shot and can fire really, really quickly for the times when you miss on the first round. this plays into the krogan's mechanics, since running and meleeing at the same time tends to result in more misses than hits. if you stop and shoot first, you're softening up the enemy, preventing them from counter attacking/dodging, and also lining up an immediate heavy melee.

I guess you haven't tried using it with a staggering skill. Heads go *pop* on gold when used properly.

It's decent with marksman as a makeshift sniper rifle that breaches the shield gate mechanics.

N7 Crusader. Holy baloney is it satisfying to master that gun.

I thought I'd never find a use for it, but I decided to try it out on my Turian Soldier. Once I got the hang of it I switched to my Turian Sentinel for extra hardiness and well.. Overload. Anyway, the Crusader is basically a sniper rifle in shotgun form. The range is absolutely crazy, you can literally pick off heads from across the map. With a shotgun.
It's super-accurate, which you need to get used to. Most shotguns have spread, this one doesn't. That takes adjusting. At first I had an accuracy booster on it (50%), which maxed the bar, but that was just too much. It made it really hard to hit anything with it. Now I got a damage booster (22,5%) and a 50% spare ammo mod on it, and it works like a charm.
Go tanky and place your shots carefully. And by god, go for the head. A Phantom? Wear it down with 1-2 shots to the body, then aim for the head. Splash. The build works best versus Cerberus in general. You become the sole Guardian demolisher. Because it's an N7 weapon, it's armor-piercing. Two shots to the shield and they're dead, one is enough if you bother aiming for the mail slot.

All in all this is a very fun gun to master. I can't wait till I get a Krogan Sentinel, for even more tankiness.

What do you mean by a "stagger skill" and no I have not. What is the best build?

Never thought about Disciple with Krogan. I love GPS with my Krogan Sentinel but maybe I will make a solider who uses the weapon.

Quarian Infiltraitor: GPS-Claymore-Wraith-Disciple which would you suggest?
